What do you think you mean by this? Displaying swastikas is legal in the US, but not in some European jurisdictions. Talking about the uprising in Tiananmen Square is forbidden in China, but not elsewhere. The laws and regulations are different geographically, not universal.

That only means that those countries are not in alignment with freedom of speech. It is that simple. Any country can say they have free speech but that is only a self label. In practice it can be a different issue. Law is not Principle. Law can always goes against a Principle such as Freedom of Speech.

If you think China has "freedom of speech" in all its universal values then you have not known modern China enough. Same goes to Europe only at a lesser degree.

True. Therefore when such company (old Twitter) makes a mountain about free speech in America and yet capitulate in other nations, people call out the misalignment in principle. It is not the people forcing Twitter to be as they were (or are). They did voluntarily by themselves. They put it out there therefore it is only right people hold them to it.

This is really funny. I think the people really have been drinking the cool-aid. Don't they realize that Musk has 2,300 satellites and HE controls the internet along with his partner Google? He already set up satellite service in Ukraine and there was nothing Russia or Putin could do to stop him. Right now Muck is trying to get back on Putin's good side by offering to build rocket & car factories in Russia. He wanted to work with them before on building rockets but they did not take him seriously. No one thought he could land a rocket and reuse it the way he does.

As of September 2022, SpaceX has over 2,300 functioning Starlink satellites in orbit, and over 500,000 active subscribers. They continue to launch up to 53 more satellites per Falcon 9 flight.

People have been speaking truth to power for millennia and usually at the cost of their lives. Indeed was it the words, or the willingness to sacrifice for what they meant, that has always changed things? Freedom of speech is golden and I want it but the problem is the loss of moral standards, communal stigma, and basic common sense that used to moderate it. Now the temptation is to suggest that "standards" are enforced by perverts, liars, and adherents of false religions but in the main that is not the case, and slander, delusions, and false witness preoccupy many of the extreme fringes on social media while they sit on their armchairs happy to ignore all consequence and responsibility for words spoken. There has to be a balance between freedom and appropriate consequence.

My brother has a Ph.D. in Psychology. I would agree that they do not know what they are talking about. But they do have a book of labels they pin on people and the medical profession does accept that as a medical evaluation. The labels change over time though. Chances are they will call it something else. Maybe even in his lifetime.

My other brother gets paid $500 an hour to testify in court. They have been working on lead poisoning cases and he says the tests they use are conclusive and there is no way they can argue against them. They do their best to try to discredit him, but they just are not able to. At least not in a court of law.
