• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Remember heaven is not parallel to earth. The same laws of physics do not apply to heaven. Your body takes a different form and the laws of thermodynamics are non existent. Which actually brings me to the conclusion that laser tag will not be possible :D

I found a website that could possibly answer your questions, although I am not sure why you are so interested in the topic. What Will Heaven be Like?

Remember Heaven is infinite in size. Let's say I have in interest in art. There may be several galaxies of artwork for me to discover.

So you can’t back up your statement. Okay I’ll move on, once again what sort of things would you do in this vague description of heaven you've given me?
His earlier reference was from Revelation 21. Before, you said you want to check the passage he was referring to, so if you do, read Revelation 21.

semi-blind post:

I don't know exactly what I'll be doing or exactly what Heaven will be like. But I am pretty confident that a majority of my time if not all of it will be worshipping the one true God in spirit and in truth.

Being cleansed by the blood of Jesus, with no flesh to pull me away from my spirit, I imagine I will exhibit (as will everyone there) all of the fruits of the Spirit talked about in Galatians 5, and with all those traits, it will lead me in Spirit to worship God and that will be my only desire.

How would you describe heaven?

Wouldn’t you eventually get tired of “singing, dancing, and praying”? Think about what your saying this is forever. Wouldn’t you run out of songs to sing or dances to dance or prayers to pray and why pray at all you’ve already got into heaven right?

Heaven is the place were all things are better the next day. There is no getting tired, the songs are better the next day.

Atheists i dare you to look at my profile picture.
That's the first picture that comes up on google if you search for atheism. It's not exactly rare.

Christians, I dare you to look at this:

If that doesn't make your cuteness sense explode, I don't know what will.

I looked. I saw nothing of truth there. Of course I'm not an atheist. Do they see something I don't? If you see something I don't, does that mean you are an atheist? Or are you just trying to derail the thread to hide your intellectual poverty?

Okay, I looked. That's three seconds out of my life that I'll never get back.

Anyway I’ve seen people say I would spend eternity worshiping, playing video games, basketball…ect, some gave the standard infinite/finite answer, and some just don’t know. It’s no surprise that these type of rational arguments are quickly replaced with misdirection. The conclusion… I can’t understand it therefore god, yea that’s right god, the one, the alpha/omega, the father, the seer of seers…ect…ect…ect. The point here is to think about what an eternity is. It doesn’t matter what you do would you really want to do it for an eternity?

There appears to be a split of 2 groups in here concerning what they desire for eternity in heaven. One group desires some supernatural neverending materialistic reward, which is so ironic I really need not go on. I have no doubt that these same people decry the problems of materialism and the problems of self-serving gluttony on earth and yet their ultimate dreams appear to be the fulfillment of them in heaven. I ask these people: How would you convince me that what you believe and why you believe is anything more than self-serving rather than moral?

The second group appear to be gleeful at the prospect of spending time with the 'dear leader' and doing nothing but singing songs of praise at him for all eternity. Quite frankly, I can't see why a creator that insists that existence is all ultimately about him, and all ultimately about worshiping and serving him is one worthy of adoration or worship.

I don't know that He insists on it. When someone has done for me as much as He has, I'd be happy singing their praises too.
