Liviella forced a laugh. "Why? We want him to tell us a story!" Liviella quickly skimmed his mind, but unable to find any deciet. Then, she left before the man could notice her consiousness. "If you'll excuse us... You were very helpful. Thank you."

((Well, at least Ringaard isn't perfect. He gets angry far too easily and isn't the smartest tool in the shed. He also is prideful.))
Ringaard was in a terrible mood. When he finally rejoined his battalion, he had only calmed slightly. The last town had taken more time than what he had expected. He hadn't found The Seal. And to top it all off, that insulant young ma - No, not even a man, a worthless, slimy creature was more suited. He had had the gaul to stop him and even insult him. The king had become too lax lately. Galbatorix needed to remind the people that he was in charge, and as such, should be treated with respect along with his underlings.
He watched from a hill, as his men went to work on the town. Seeing a fire light and consume a house, Ringaard smiled cruelly. This was finally lightening his mood. By the time it was over, he was feeling much better. He forced his horse into a gallop to join his men once more.
They made camp half way to the next town, for it had grown dark. He was in his tent, looking at a few maps, when he heard his captain, Vendaro, outside, requestin to come in.
"Enter." Ringaard said in a bored, dull voice.
"Sir, the last town was yet again a failure. No sign was found of The Seal." Vendaro said seriously.
"WHAT?!?!?!" Ringaard's anger was white hot again. He took his sword and swung, leaving a bloody lind on Vendaro's left cheek. Vendaro hadn't moved, nor had he flinched away. He had just continued staring streight ahead. "I grow impatient with this search. It's been a year already, and still we have no luck." Ringaard started pacing behind his desk. Ringaard would never express his worry of the king to anyone, but that was a dominating anxiety every day they spent searching.
"Sir, if I may make a suggestion to you... We could try more coastal villages. Either that or we could hire a spy to find it for us..." Vendaro said, attempting to calm him down. He was one of the few within the troop that actually knew the name for what Ringaard was searching for. He'd served under him for the past 11 years and was extremely loyal to him. Even to the point of similar personalities.
"Hmf. If I did that I would be admitting I was wrong, now wouldn't it? I refuse to do so." Ringaard said moodily. "Leave me. I have much to ponder and consider."
"Yes, my lord." Vendaro said curtly, then leaving. Ringaard would never do anything suggested to him, unless as a last resort. That much he knew from the many years with him. He then turned to go into the medical tent for bandaging. There was 4 in there already. Two had been victems of Ringaard's wrath after he had joined back with them after the village they had searched that morning. No one never knew what happened, but he had been in a rage. The other two had been injured in the last town, after a few villagers tried to protect their homes. As punishment, they had been slain.
