  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

((Ok. It's time to reveal to Teresa Liviella's identity!))

Liviella nodded, said goodbye, and rode after Teresa. Their trip would take three days, if nothing slowed them. On the second night of their journey, they had stopped near a river. It's flow was slow, so it was as good as a lake to bathe in. Liviella felt extremely grimey, so she went to bathe in the river. When she came out, she put on her clothes and went back to the campsite, but she had forgotten she was no longer the lone traveler. She had put her hair back in a bun, so her ears were exposed.

Freezing in her tracks, she whirled around, looking down into the water, and realized that she had forgotten that her ears were exposed. She sighed, hateing to have her truth revealed, but knew that it was inevitable. She had to confess. "Yes, I am. I have to hide my identity and keep a somewhat low profile, otherwise Galbatorix would have me captured, and that is the last thing my queen would want. I gather information, you see... so we know what is going on around the continent. I report to her once a year, but if I learn urgent news that cannot wait till then, I just return immediately. But you mustn't tell anyone of what I am."

"Let's look for the fortune teller. Remember, if she doesn't use the nuckle bones of a dragon, then it's not a real fortune." Liviella said, rather confidently. She had her hair back, covering her ears, so no one, other than Teresa could know she was an elf. The only places she wore her hair freely, exposing her ears, was when she was visiting the Varden, or in Du Weldenvarden. Neither of which she visited frequently.

((I hope you haven't forgotten about this... I know I forgot it for a little while, but I've come up with some plot twists, and am back in business!))

When they arrived, they asked for directions to the fortune teller's shop. They were directed to a relatively secluded section of the town. When they entered, a mystic voice greeted them "Welcome, children. May I ask your purpose here?"

"We are searching forrelatives of the fisherman, spoken of in the old legend." Liviella said.

"Ah... I see. The folks of which you seek are very elusive in form. The people you speak of... I know of a coleague that may be able to tell you. However; he may be more than he appears. He works and lives in a small village - another village by the sea - called Gavael."

"Thank you. That's a start. It will be helpful." Liviella bowed her head and excused herself, and Teresa from the store, but not before paying her a fair amount.

Vendaro, frustrated by his master's stubborness, decided to take the matter into his own hands - to a certain point. He called for one of his men, Huul. He was known for his discreetness and his spy qualities. "Yes, captain?" Huul said when he entered Vendaro's quarters.

"Yes. There was something I wanted you to do for me. Master Ringaard doesn't know what I'm doing, so just keep it in between us." after Huul nodded agreement, Vendaro went on "I want you to search for The Seal along the Western coast of the continent. Look in the villages. Don't search the cities and larger towns, unless there is a lead there. Tell me anything you learn."

Huul nodded, bowed out of the tent, packed for the journey, and left camp on his horse.

There. Now they'd be able to find The Seal faster and be less conspicuous.

Ringaard was scrying in his quarters. First he scryed Galbatorix. The King was sitting at the table with a young man with black hair. Ringaard had met this man only once, but remembered him vividly. It was Murtagh. They were talking heatedly. Because he didn't know how to, Ringaard couldn't find out what they were saying. The king especially seemed angry. Ringaard could sence that it wasn't caused because of him, but somewhat at Murtagh. That was all Ringaard needed to know, so he stopped the image. Next, he tried looking for The Seal, but as usual, all he got was a black surface. Ringaard kept thinking it was in a dark room, so every chance he got, he looked for it. He sighed and got to his feet. It was late, so he got into bed and slept.

Suki was an orphan, like many children who managed to escape the death following Ringaard and his troops. For Suki, she had just been on her way back to her village from 3 years of Swordsmanship training. She had learned from the few survivors who - and how long ago - attacked. She had then went to a bard, whom she had heard knew a great deal about Ringaard. She had tried to anticipate where he would go next. So. Her she was, on the outskirts of a sea side village named Gavael. She was eating in a pub called The Leaver when two women came in. What two women would travel together in this time? They must be spies from Ringaard - or Galbatorix. She thaught, glaring at them as they made their way to the bar table - where she was sitting.

When they left the store Teresa sat upon her horse and said "Finally, someone who would tell us something!" she paused then said "Which village do you think we should go to? There's tons on villages by the sea." she sounded irritated, and she was. She never really was very patient.

"We'll go to Gravael, like the woman said. I'm sure we'll find some sort of clue there..." Liviella said. They traveled a distance that stretched two days. When they arrived (around lunch) they decided to eat in a pub. It was called The Leaver.

"About half a day's journey. We'll reach there in next to no time." Liviella said.

Suki was listening. She couldn't contain herself much longer. Then suddenly she spat out, "Why are you going to Gravael? I bet it's to destroy the village, you slim of the empire!"

"You know what I mean! You're dog-slaves of the king! I know your type!" Suki said. She was ready to blow. They were well armed and clearly traveling. What more proof did she need?!?! Obviously spies for the king.

Liviella gave Suki a compassionate look. "Why don't we meet somewhere, say... and hour from now. I can show you proof that we are not Galbatorix's slaves."

Suki gave Liviella a mistrustful gaze, but agreed under the condition that their weapons stayed with their horses, and that she could bring her own. Liviella agreed, knowing if they were going to get anywhere with her, they would need to submit to her wishes.

"I'm not. I have a third thing in my arsinal if necessary, but I'll only use that as a last resort. She's still young. We need to set this streight, otherwise rumor might get around that we aren't what we are." Liviella whispered back. Suki had left to get ready and she remained disgruntled.
