*EO ONLY* Crucifix question

Hi all,

Is it true for a crucifix to be properly Orthodox Christ cannot be shown dead or in agony? That's why some (Roman/Western) Catholic crucifixes showing Christ dead and in agony are NOT approved? Or is this just a myth?

He is usually shown to be dead. we don’t depict Him in agony because those emotions can hinder prayer.
