Identify "WE"We have nothing for you.
Notwithstanding the fact that every translation I have seen has translated it as "generation", in Matthew 1 we can see that Abraham is the first of 42 "generations" and Jesus comes in the last of those generations which Peter calls the last times 1Peter 19,20. How else would He refer to the generation He was in other than "this generation"? Matthew could have use another word (genos) he had already used if what you said is what he meant. Strong's Greek: 1085. γένος (genos) -- family, offspringYet they did pass away, because all these things did not come to pass in their lifetime. Therefore, generation is being said in respect to age, family or decent and not a time period of specific group.
Matt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
I take it you're pointing to the end of Matthew 25.Take a look at the very end of the Matthew version of the Olivet Discourse concerning the answer to the question of when found in Matthew 24:3. It appears, at least to me, that the final statement is like a punch-line closing statement for the entire passage, (only in the Matthew version). However it seems that those who are predisposed to alternative viewpoints do not often have the patient endurance to continue reading that far along in search of the answer to the question, (it's a grueling two chapters and two verses).![]()

Besides that hardly all of my proof Jesus was referring to "this generation" being completed. Isn't it obvious that the old covenant "age" that began with Abraham and ended with the destruction of the temple would begin the new covenant age of the everlasting church? Ephesians 3:21
Let's look further into Matthew 24 and see He was talking about "that" generation in which He came.
Matthew 24:4Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Romans 8:22We know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until the present time.
Then in the following , the context of "this generation" is in regards to the disciples" seeing "all these things" and according to James, they did see all those things, otherwise, why would he say what he did by which all things revealed come from the Father.
Matthew 24: 33So also, when you see all these things, you will know that He is near, right at the door. 34Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened. 35Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.
James 5:
7Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the soil—how patient he is for the fall and spring rains. 8You, too, be patient and strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near. 9Do not complain about one another, brothers, so that you will not be judged. Look, the Judge is standing at the door!
Then the end comes. I would argue that Daniel is prophesying the greatest knowledge man has or ever will receive and it's going out into all the world where both he and Christ say it would mark the "end".
Daniel 12:4But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Romans 1:8
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being proclaimed all over the world.
Mark 16:
15And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Colossians 1:23
if indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
Psalm 19:4
their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens He has pitched a tent for the sun.
Romans 10:18
But I ask, did they not hear? Indeed they did: "Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."
I take it you're pointing to the end of Matthew 25.

All the tribes on earth have not mourned because of seeing the son of Man coming in the clouds. And the Trumpet has not sounded, and Angels have not been sent to gather the elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. This without a doubt is speaking of the End of our time, generation in general and the final judgement.
All these things includes His Coming in the clouds of heaven with His Angels to gather the elect. So this generation Must being spoken in General of the Christian age up to His 2nd coming in the clouds with Great Glory as the passage states.
Matt 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Matt 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
To even further the general context is speaking of His 2nd coming. He begins to compare His coming in the clouds with the angel to gather the elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven unto the other to Noah and the flood.
Matt 24:36-42
Then He compares being ready for His coming in the clouds with the angel to gather the elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven unto the other to someone having their house broken into. And if they would have been paying attention to the signs they would have been ready and would not have suffered their house to be broken into.
Matt 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Matt 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Then He speaks of rewards to the faithful and wise servant whom is ready when He comes. But the evil servant whom is not ready but says our Lord delays He shall cut asunder and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matt 24:45-51
And that is not it. Still in the same context He continues but adds something to His coming in the clouds to gather the elect. He calls us who are waiting the Kingdom of Heaven. And in this compares us to virgins who are awaiting the bride-groom and need to be wise and make sure we our Lamps are trimmed and full so that we are able to see our Lord when He comes to take us to be His wife. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Matt 25:1-13
And if that were not enough, He continues with the same premise of His coming in the clouds with His angels to gather the elect and the passing of Judgement. And as He continues he goes on to call us His servants the Kingdom of Heaven and say we His servant have recieved talents, goods and that when He comes back he expects to see that their has been an increase to what He has given us. and if there is no increase we will be cast out unto utter darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matt 25:14-30
Then in closing Jesus speaks more bluntly. He says directly that when He comes in his glory with the Angels He shall sit in the throne of judgement and gather ALL nations beforew Him. And He shall divide the sheep from the goats. The sheep to the right, the goats unto the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. But unto the left, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Matt 25:31-46
So, in closing no, all this has not been fulfilled because Jesus has not come in the clouds to gather the elect for judgement. And as was shown in the Opening post all that is to transpire is connected closely in time to His second coming with Judgement.
And in this we are to pray that when the great tribulation starts, that our flight from not be in the winter nor the Sabbath Day. The winter because it will make our journey even more difficult. And the Sabbath because on the Seventh Day we will be resting from our secular labors and in keeping the Day Holy we will be caught up in worship and what not and will be caught off guard.
OK, I misunderstood you.Pretty sure I wrote two chapters and two verses.
That takes me to Matthew 26:1-2.
Matthew 26:1-2 KJV
1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,
2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
But that is his when. Each has his or her own when, for the Gospel is personal and individual: each in his or her own appointed times, times appointed of the Father.
Jesus was talking to the JEWS.Matthew 24 shows us that our Lord Jesus Christ expects us to be keeping the Sabbath up to His second coming.
Please read through the OP and answer the points made. All you did was post an opinion without answering the points made, which are facts in respect to the grammar and context. ThanksJesus was talking to the JEWS.

Based on facts within the passage and it's context.Yours is actually an opinion as well.
Matthew 24 shows us that our Lord Jesus Christ expects us to be keeping the Sabbath up to His second coming. So why are you not keeping it?
Answer the points given about Mathew 24 within the passages sited or not. Your question is a rabbit hole we will not entertain. If someone tells you that Genesis 6:14 "shows us that God expects us to be building an ark today. So why are you not building it?"
What would your response be?
In Matthew 24:15, when the Jews in Judeah see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place, they should flee to the mountains. The abomination of desolation is the culmination of the signs in which we will see in relation to the question as to when the end is. Verses 6 and 13 solidify this context in that they mention the end. When we see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place we are instructed, if in Judea to flee into the Mountains quickly.

So why is your question "Matthew 24 shows us that our Lord Jesus Christ expects us to be keeping the Sabbath up to His second coming. So why are you not keeping it?"
Another rabbit hole. Deal with the facts shared in the post please.likewise?
Address the points of the OP please. All you are doing is posting a view without dealing with the points made in the post in respect to the grammar and context of Matt 24.In Matthew 24:15, when the Jews in Judeah see the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place, they should flee to the mountains.
The abomination of desolation is found in Daniel 12:11-12 and will take place at the time of the end as is stated in Daniel 12:9.
Although Daniel wrote everything down that we read in Daniel 12, Daniel himself was not speaking in Daniel 11-12. It is the angel speaking - who in Daniel 10:24 said...
Daniel 10:14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.
Daniel spoke of the abomination of desolation in the sense that Daniel wrote everything down, and spoke to the people of his day about it.
So Jesus's statement of praying that the abomination of desolation standing in the holy not take place on the Sabbath - is applying to Jews (not Christians), who as part of their adherence to the Mt. Sinai covenant are limited to how far they can travel on the Sabbath.
Jesus is not expecting Christians to keep the Sabbath. Keeping the Sabbath is an SDA belief that you are striving to justify in your opening post.
I did reply to comments you made in your OP. Go to my post #74 and you will see I replied to what you wrote.Address the points of the OP please. All you are doing is posting a view without dealing with the points made in the post in respect to the grammar and context of Matt 24.
There are points made that are facts in respect the grammar and context of Matt 24 in the OP. These you have not addressed. All you done was post an opinion based on what you think without addressing the facts shared in the OP that show other wise.I did reply to comments you made in your OP. Why does that matter? Truth stands regardless. Are you SDA ?
