yes having sex before marriage, living together before marriage is sin. However if you are eloped it is not sin, because now you are in covenant marriage. Even if you didn't have a wedding, there was an official there that witnessed the eloping. Also in many states eloping means you can get a marriage certificate. So check your state laws. But make it official. You don't have to have an expensive wedding, but I would at least get the license if it's practical to do so. It's not required in God's eyes, but that way you both are sole heirs of each other, and it's official for insurance reasons etc.I think I'm starting to understand now
I just always thought you'd had to be married by the law or church to be actually married and 2 people being together engaging in sexual intercourse was a sin even if they loved each other and planned to be together for their lives
