  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wasn't the ADAM created in Eden before YAHWEH planted the garden east of it?
Terms aside, yes.

God created Eden (Pangaea to those who don't understand) first.

"Spiritual" global warming?

Revelation 16:8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

The reference is to Pangaea which did not exist 6,000 years ago.
I call it that, rather than Eden, so as not to confuse anybody.

Only a scientist would think I'm referring to their Paleozoic piece of real estate.

Warden is a deist:

"Belief in the existence of a supreme being, specifically of a creator who does not intervene in the universe. The term is used chiefly of an intellectual movement of the 17th and 18th centuries that accepted the existence of a creator on the basis of reason but rejected belief in a supernatural deity who interacts with humankind."
Yes, I know the meaning. That's why I told him to ask God. For I believe that God interacts with all mankind.

Lot of one liners here from the Atheists...how bout' we get into why you feel as you do about the article. I mean all you've really done is say it's bad, and with little or no backing.

Kind of like how you do when trying to address the evidence for evolution.

Seems the article is mostly about the origin of life and how it cannot be explained by scientists...

If that is an accurate characterization of the blog entry, then it's incorrect. That the origin of life has yet to be explained by science does not mean that it cannot be explained.

Nothing just comes out of nowhere, I haven't seen it, you haven't seen, none of us have seen it = complete lack of logic as reason it's all here.

That observation is backed with more than the slightest clue/evidence....it's good hard logical fact that I should not even have to explain.

It's hilarious when people complain about logical fallacies being pointed out and then go on to post a logical fallacy.

(Hint - abiogenesis is not "something coming out of nowhere". That's a straw man.)

Your reply made no sense to my comment. Why should I ask God for wisdom and understanding when a person made a glaring obviously and incredibly stupid spelling mistake on a very simple English word?

It was not a mistake.

We'd rather you'd win a spelling bee in Heaven, than in Hell.

One cannot explain fully or even begin to explain life without explaining where it started. We've been over this several times and as much as folks would like to throw that fact out, you got nothing without it.

"Nothing" You don't seem to have a grasp on what that word means and does not mean.

We have a profound understanding of how life we see now and in the fossil record came to be. It evolved from a primordial life form. How that life form came into existence doesn't even effect our understanding of evolution, much less determine if we know "something" or "nothing" about life.

Where did the "primordial life form" come from?

Then perhaps you can give me the dictionary definition of 'agnore' then, since I sure as heck can't find it anywhere.
Just keep searching, and knocking brother. You will find it, and then all you have to do is open the door.
