My advice, do a DTS and have fun!!!! I did my DTS with the YWAM base here in Wyoming (the same base I work with still!!!) it was back in 1998, our outreach was to Brazil and Argentina. We are a more cowboy focused Ywam base

A friend of mine did her dTS in Scottland and really enjoyed it. I wolud like to do the leadership training school Scotland offers sometime.

I know Dts will be a great experience for you, I highly recomend it to all christians.....as far as advice, Open up to God, your fellow students, and the leaders and incomiing teachers.....I spent my DTS resisting God....I still learned a lot, and God did great things, but all in all it would have been better had I let God do thinkgs his way

I grew up working in the DTS at the YWAM base that my parents are the leaders of... and i was supposed to go and take mine in Australia but it did not work out for me to go... anyway that is a different story... I do recomend the DTS... it is an awsome school and I have seen how people left the school changed and touched by God.

I'm leaning more and more towards doing a Discipleship Training School with YWAM Scotland next year and I was just wondering if anyone has completed a DTS? How was it? Where did you go? Any thoughts and/ or advice would be very much appreciated! :)

Blessings!
Amelie

Hey! That is so cool! I am also thinking about going to a YWAM Scotland DTS! Which one are you considering going to? There's a few different ones availabe in different areas of Scotland and ministry focus. Why have you chosen Scotland? Love in JC, Brittany

Hi  I did a DTS in 1992 at Holmsted Manor west sussex, I then ended up staying on staff for 2 years. My DTS was a life changing experience and I ended up doing an SOFM and heading off to Turkey. Go for it, it will be great and the the scottish base is just beautiful

Hello fellow ywamer's and ex-ywamer's and about to be ywamer!!! :)
I did my DTS in Melbourne, Australia in 1998 and had an absolutely amazing, life changing experience. My walk with God completely changed, I can't recommend it enough! God is just so real. I ended up going on to do an SOE and SOIWSW. I'm not with YWAM anymore, but I'm boarding at the YWAM base in Darwin, and having a ball. YWAM is so real, honest and has a close walk with God. Their motto is 'to know God, and make Him known'.

All the best! I pray God will really move powerfully in your life hun. He has an amazing plan for you!

Love Kaleo

 i was hoping to find YWAMers on here! I'd love to talk to all of you about what it was like, what your missions experience was like, and how the money thing worked out for you (because money is my major concern right now). If you feel so moved, please PM me with your story. It would enrich my life!

I have been looking into the Univeristy of the Nations courses (of which a DTS is a prerequisite) and really feel a yearning to commit to a DTS soon, perhaps next year... I'm checking out the Richmond Virginia location in particular because they are the only location to focus on Jewish Studies (and I so yearn to serve in Israel!)... so if it be God's will, I am going to apply.

Still, the money thing is a concern....
