Yes, but that probably didn't weaken his hold on the republican politicians who were scared of him. Another failure to get GOP voters to go his way, that's what damages his credibility with those guys.

One of Trump’s attorney’s and Senior VP Michael Cohen was convicted of a felony and disclosed some Trump Inc errors. Alan Weisselberg may face 99 years in prison. I do not know if he will cooperate with law enforcement to get a reduced judgement. Law enforcement has incriminating documents. Trump is a majority owner of the hundreds of small businesses under the Trump Inc. name. Trump was involved in managing aspects of his business before he was elected. There is no statute of limitations for tax fraud.

People who backed Trump were voted out. Trump was voted out by a landslide Biden victory.

You might be right. But the demonstration that Trump's endorsement no longer means automatic victory in a republican contest, has to be a serious blow to his control of the GOP.
