Every elections cycle there are a number of organizations that do demographic surveys on supporters of candidates.
From the very start the Left and major media have portrayed Mr. Trump as a Clown with no chance of winning the nomination. 15,000,000 votes later he is the Republican candidate. Then someone picked up on a stat showing a group - white - males - with less than a four year degree favor Trump in a large percentage.
Hence - uneducated white males are what Trump supporters look like. And it has been become prolific.
Mike Rowe stated:
“To your point, the words ‘uneducated white men’ now appear in hundreds of articles about Trump. But if this is truly important information, where were these reporters four years ago? In the last election, an even greater majority of African-American males who voted for President Obama had no college on their resume. Maybe I missed it, but I don’t recall any headlines or articles that delved into Obama’s popularity among ‘uneducated black men.'”
“If the media didn’t care about the lack of college among black men supporting Obama, why do they care so much about the lack of college among white men supporting Trump? Moreover, when exactly did a lack of college become synonymous with a lack of education?”

It's and interesting read and raises some good points, but I'd like to explain why I believe this is just more Liberal Elitist Methodology. I have even heard one of the elitist say to effect, "do you really want Trump supporters to decide who will run this country?"
Like unless you have a certain level of education, you can't possible be smart enough and need people to help you make the right decisions.
So who are these mindless zombies the elitist think need help in making the right decision?
Mechanics, electricians, stone masons, 40% of hospital staffing, bookkeepers, small businessmen.
How about virtually every Union member?
How about everyone that is looking for that 15.00 and hour job.
How about our civil servants, you know, the ones doing the real work.
The white man, who does my landscaping has a high school education runs seven teams of four and five employees. His company keeps 33 people employed full time and an income for he and his family that far exceeds the income my Masters Degree provides for.
Simply Put -
Not having a four year degree does mean uneducated in the sence that they are portraying it.
