I was wondering if the transcript on the link was complete. Your post makes me thing it was.

I watch a bit of football. Watch a couple of games and you are almost sure to hear the anouncers comment in some way that a running back has to be patient, he has to wait for and setup blocks.

Matthews blew it, not in hte line, but in not being patient. He did not wait for the hole to open. He asked once about the investigation. She gave an answer that was totally unrelated to the question. Outside of politics her reply would be considered either rude or stupid. In politics it is considered standard.

He needed to ask again, and then a third time when he should have included a comment proding her to answer the question he asked.

And then if she still came with an answer that was totally unreleted, then he could have used his hyponitized line.

He was far to eager to use his line.
All your criticisms are valid. For all the money he's being paid, he is really a crappy journalist/interviewer. He shows no signs of doing research and rarely makes corrections of bad facts.

He's a millionaire clown.

Michele Bachmann is anti-American.
She wants to phase out Social Security and Medicare.
Actually, this is very American -- being a very constitutionally legitimate position, one which I wholeheartedly support.

She doesn't want America to be part of the "international global economy" (when every economist in the world recognizes that protectionism spells death to the economic growth of a nation.)
"Every" economist in the world? Somehow I doubt that 'every' economist in the world believes that - LIBERAL world perhaps, but certainly not the whole world.

Besides, the premise that not wanting to be part of the international global economy equates to protectionism is ill-warranted. We ARE in fact already part of the international global economy. So I think your read of Ms. Bachman's position on this is wrong.

She doesn't rule out the possibility of preemptive nuclear strikes against the Middle East.
Nor should we.

She favors domestic oil and gas drilling without the environmental protections to keep it from destroying our environment.
No, she doesn't. I doubt ANYONE supports destroying our environment. That's a complete misrepresentation of her position. She may not approve of many of the ridiculous measures liberals want - measures which are intended to prohibit all drilling as a consequence; but certainly not prudent ones.

These are not American positions.
No, these are not your positions. Just because you disagree with someone else's stance neither makes you an American nor them un-American.

Look at the first Thanksgiving. Pilgrims and Indians came together to thank God for the harvest and share their prosperity.
Amen. So they did.

We need to stop measuring our economic recovery by gains in the stock market which only benefit a few (and are sometimes gained by increased "productivity"---i.e. downsizing and layoffs) and start measuring it by how many Americans share in that prosperity.
This is an utterly specious statement - and false to boot. "We" don't measure our economic recovery by gains in the stock market -though I daresay Democrats will be the first to point to stock market gains as 'evidence' that their radical measures may be working (go figure, eh?). Our economic recovery is utterly dependent on those who will invest their monies and efforts in building their businesses or starting new ones and hiring people once again to make them work. Democrats are doing everything in their power to demonize American businesses (as you have here) and those who start/run them in favor of the government 'stimulating' the economy by stealing from those people ostensibly to spread their wealth to others who have neither the wherewithall, the ability, nor the desire to do it themselves. So Democrats tax everyone to give back to a few as they deem fit (primarily to buy their votes). It's that sort of thinking that got us into this economic mess we're facing right now. More of such thinking will not turn it around either.
