Does anyone listen to Ann Coulter anymore?

Here, in here January 6th column, after she declares that liberals love the US like OJ loved Nicole (very nice) she rails against the Ney York Times for calling the US response to the tsunami as stingy. I quote

"But the New York Times was sticking with "stingy." In an editorial subtly titled "Are We Stingy? Yes," the Times said the U.N. sponge "was right on target." This followed up a patriotic editorial a few days earlier titled "America, the Indifferent."

America's stinginess is a long-standing leitmotif for liberals – which is getting hard to square with their love for America. When it comes to heaping insults on America, U.S. liberals are the nation's leading donors. "

However, that editorial was written after the US pledged 30 million dollars. The US has now raised it to 350 million. So, in hindsight, 30 million was stingy (no doubt due to the fact that perhaps the full extent of the devastation was not realized).

http://mediamatters.org/items/200501060007

In fact, on January 4th, the TIMES actually praised President Bush for raising the dollar amount.

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/04/opinion/04tue1.html

Does this appear anywhere in Ann Coulters January 6th article? Heaven's no. This would ruin Ann's political hackery. But let's face it. The NYT was correct (twice) and Ann has her "red state" goggles on.

I feel bad for people who actually have to defend her. She keeps getting loopier and loopier. Imagine having to defend her in public? It's like trying to make excuses for your alcoholic wife....

The last couple of times I had the unfortunate occasion to see her on Faux News, she was identified as "Ann Coulter, Constitutional Lawyer." I have no idea what that was supposed to mean, but after all it was Faux News.

Its a lawyer that deals with bowel movements....

As I said on another thread, I lean heavily to the right, but really don't follow Ann Coulter much. I do like her because of her intelligence, passion, & "spunk" - but I prefer to watch someone a little less combative (combatitive? sp?)

However, to answer the question in the OP, "is anyone listening to Ann Coulter anymore"? Um, considering her "How To Talk To a Liberal...If You Must" book is still on the TOP TEN of the NY Times Bestseller List, apparently MANY people are listening to her.

On a side note, I always get a kick out seeing Fox News referred to as "Faux News" simply because it shows BOTH sides to the world. Yes, Fox shows Pat Buchanan AND Rev. Sharpton. They give equal time to both, IMO. Has there been a story or two where some facts have been mixed up? Probably, just like all the other networks. But nothing Fox has ever done will EVER equal the "factless" story Dan Rather tried to show on CBS regarding President Bush, folks. Let's all be fair, shall we?

Incidentally, what do liberals then think of Alan Colmes??? Hello? If he were anymore left-leaning, he would resemble the Tower of Pisa. ;)

A lightweight who serves the same purpose as the Washington Generals did for the Harlem Globetrotters.

I couldn't have said it better. Alan Comes is a moderate. If you want true progressive/liberal commentary, read Molly Ivins.

Poor Alan, I do feel for Him sometimes. Last night He was stuck defending "count every vote and every vote counts". A half day of the most powerful institution in the world dedicated to, well, something useful for the little people, makes a body feel good. I have no idea what this costs but money well spent, no doubt about that. The poor people in Ohio need all the help they can get, counting is hard to do.

I like Ann Coulter.

That is the most depressing news I have heard in a long time. Apparently no one cares about facts anymore. It's all in about how you can skewer and vilify.

Here's an article from a very right wing organization, and, once you read through the anti-franken drivel, you see that even they don't trust Ann Coulter to get the facts.

I like Ann Coulter.

You mean he's actually going against John Kerry's recent wishes & supporting the two, lonely Dems who are dingy enough to try and challenge Bush's electoral votes. *sarcasm warning* - Which is really important right now, considering we're trying to be unified again - not to mention there's this little thing called a "tsunami" that our government is spending more valuable time & money on, instead of recounting Ohio's votes yet AGAIN & trying to find voting "wrongdoing" all over & insisting on a little "summit" - as if ANY of this would've made difference in 3 million popular votes for Bush over Kerry.

And some of you liberals actually call Colmes "moderate" & "lightweight"??? Just admit to us that you don't watch him much (because he's on Fox), just like some of we conservatives don't follow Ann all that much either. Let's be honest, rather than attacking one of your own. ;)
