Do you wear a cross or fish symbol?

Cross or fish? I just ordered myself a fish necklace.
How important is it for christians to visibly carry a sign/symbol of our Lord?
What is your opinion?
I wear a cross.. Honestly and personally, I have never seen a fish on someone..

For me it is a way to show my dedication to the Lord and a way of showing it to the world. I have been persecuted for wearing it, like in workplaces, especially..even if I never preached to anyone.. Immediately, they can hate you.. so be aware of what might come.

I don't wear a symbol, including a cross, and don't call myself Christian if a context has not been established. (I call myself a [devoted] follower of Jesus Christ if I want to convey that fact.) It is because none of those communicate who I am. They all mean different things to every person that sees them. A symbol can mean "person who wants to do good" to some people and "self-righteous jerk" to others. To another Christian, it can mean "missionary-type person" or "someone who sometimes goes to a Christian church."

But that's not to say there is anything wrong with wearing one or putting it one on your car. Just be aware that it will mean all sorts of things to others.

Dress in the Lord in your actions. People will recognize you as Christian by the way you act.

Example:
John 13:35
By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

If i have to choose an accessory, i prefer the fish. But doesn´t identify me .

I have just read a couple of posts so far, but I will give my response right now.

I like wearing cross necklaces. I used to wear more the bigger ones, though now I wear both big and small ones. I also had once a pair of earrings crosses too, I loved wearing these ones a lot, but then I lost one of these, or they got broken.

My wife frequently wears a Star of David.

I got a little David star pendant from one of the aunts and uncles of my husband for my birthday around 8 or 9 years ago. I have also started wearing this a lot nowadays. :)

I found my cross and earings, I bought them from the Island of Iona in Scotland when we visited a few years ago, and now I wear them often.

I don't wear any jewelry other than a wedding ring, but I do have Jesus on my license plate. It's far more visible than jewelry.

I wear a fish symbol. Of course what a person is, is most important but I like to wear it as others have also said as a declaration of their faith.
The reason I chose the fish symbol was that so many non Christians and actual anti Christians will also wear crosses. That does not mean I don't think you should wear them. It is all up to each person what they like to wear.
The only thing I am against is a crucifix because Jesus did not stay on the cross so I don't like them at all.
I like the fish because it is a symbol that other Christians know and also if someone wants to know what it is, it is a good opportunity to talk of Jesus and following Him.
None of the symbols are necessary to our faith of course but some of us like to wear them.:)
