It's hate to lie to people that it's okay. I'm glad Rock Hudson repented and got saved on his death bed.
I think it is a sin like many other sins. Only God knows a person heart.Let me hear your opinion...please...
I am the same way. I am often reminded of the song by Casting crowns anybody see herI'll try to avoid judging anyone concerning heaven or hell. Only Christ is in a position to do so, for it's by him we enter the kingdom of heaven.
That should answer the question - only the saints inherit the kingdom.
I'm not gonna condemn any sinner, homosexuals included. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Once again, that's not what scripture says. If homosexuality is a sin, what are homosexuals to do? Turn straight? Be celibate? Changing one's orientation is impossible and both Jesus and Paul say celibacy is a gift most people don't have. You can't force it on people.Don't get me wrong by anything I've posted, please.
I am not judging and saying that "homosexuals will go to hell"; I am merely saying that homosexuality IS a sin like all other sins, and those who have not truly accepted Christ and repented of their sin and at least attempt to turn away from them, according to Scripture, will not enter Heaven.
That's what Scripture says; that's not my judgment whatsoever.

The Bible is clear though:
Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality
What is your exegesis of Romans 1:26-27?
When God calls something an "Abomination", that means it is something that He feels very strongly about, something that offends Him.
Do you think He'd use such harsh words for something He doesn't really care about, other than for His chosen people to set themselves aside from everybody else?
Please note, he called it an ABOMINATION. That's a pretty strong word. That, to me, says "I hate this thing, and I don't want anybody doing it, Jewish or Gentile".
Now, we have to ask ourselves as Christians... "Should we be doing anything that God labelled as an 'abomination'?"
God never called Stealing, or even Murder an "Abomination". He said "Thou shalt not kill" and "Thou shalt not steal." but yet He never called murder and stealing "Abomination".
Something tells me that He finds homosexual sex especially sickening and perverse, profane...
I don't know about you, friend, but I don't want God to feel sickened by my actions. I'm not going to sit here and go "oh, that's just Leviticus, that doesn't apply to us".
Yes, maybe Leviticus was Mosaic Law meant for the Jews... but when God says it is an "abomination", I ask myself, "do I really want to commit an 'abomination'?"
The answer is a resounding, "NO".
This is where we disagree. There are many sins listed there that God turned them over to besides verses 26-27. Unless one can say they have never done any of these as well.....then they can't judge themselves to be more righteous than someone else.
Rom 1:29 having been filled with all unrighteousness, whoredom, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil dispositions; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 evil-speakers, God-haters, insulting, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 unintelligent, faithless, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful;
Thanks for your explanation. We will just have to agree to disagree.
So if I'm attracted to women, I'm an adulterer even if I don't engage in a relationship. Weird.
It is "impossible"?
Tell that to the people who were Healed from their unnatural lust towards other men. I've seen their testimonies and read about their stories.
And on that matter...
Nothing is "impossible" for God. Nothing.
Try that sermon. Very wonderful sermon about how nothing is impossible for God to fix (might want to fast-forward a bit past the intro though).
The problem is, when people pray and it doesn't happen... the people who were praying lacked faith. Didn't Jesus tell His disciples that with enough faith, they could move mountains and drop them in the sea by praying?
That's basically what the late Rev. Wilkerson is saying in this video -- a lot of people will pray once or twice and it doesn't happen so they give up on it and say "it's impossible" or "it's hopeless" even though Scripture says that there is NOTHING God can't do.
@StephanieSomer :
It has nothing to do with being unmerciful. I've been saying over and over again in this whole thread... "they can get saved! Sure! they just have to repent first"
That's not being unmerciful, that's being truthful.
Being merciful does not mean sugar-coating the truth to make it taste better. If something is a sin, it is a sin. We can't go "oh, it's ok, everybody sins, so don't even feel sorry about your sin" ..... we can't do that.
We can't do that about murder, we can't do that about lying, we can't do that about stealing, and we can't do it about homosexuality.
So, can you explain WHY there are so many posts in CF condemning gays, and so few condemning Christians who steal, or lie, or speak harshly to their child or spouse ? The statistical inequality screams hypocrisy.
I'm NOT disagreeing with your position on whether homosexuality is sin or not. I'm simply repeating over and over again what Paul was getting at with the first chapter of Romans, which was finished with chapter 2. WE HAVE NO EXCUSE! We do NOT have any authority to condemn ANY sin, outside the bounds of the Church. None. Our only authority is to preach the Gospel.
Who, here, is condemning?
A question was asked... "do Homosexuals go to Hell?" and I answered thusly:
"If they are not saved, everybody goes to Hell, including homosexuals" and then you had people going "oh, no, homosexuality isn't a sin! It's okay!"
etc.
But yeah, I think it is time we ended the argument... having people getting angry over something is really not healthy. I never meant to incite anger, nor condemn anyone. I just want people who are living that kind of life to realize that they Aren't supposed to be doing it, that they should try to turn away from it and repent if they have not already.
We all do things that are sinful... we are all guilty. I was merely concerned about a group of people (in this case, homosexuals) who thought they were somehow not guilty who seem to think their sins are ok.
You know what? I'll confess two of my worst sins: gluttony (5'8'' and 235 lbs...) and sexual lust (I still find myself having a difficulty staying away from pornographic artwork and occasional masturbation).
I'm guilty of sin, like everybody else is. I repent of it, and I wish, and pray, and yearn that He would help me overcome this sin, and I yearn for the day that I might one day be free of this sin for once and for all.
But I don't, for one second, sit here and go "it's ok if I eat like a pig..." or "It's ok if I look at porn, it ain't sin!"
/The entire first chapter of Romans is the antecedent for what Paul begins to say in chapter two. "You therefore, have no excuse, you who judge another." You wanna take the Scripture apart into little pieces to create doctrine? Ok. Try this one on for size. "And Judas went out and hung himself." Christ said, "Go thou, and do likewise." Later, He also added, "And what you do, do quickly!"
People who go to hell are getting what they desire and worship most, so...Let me hear your opinion...please...
