When Jim1927 mentioned the iceman... it reminded me for some reason of our Twins Pine Milk man.... and how we used Milk shutes to receive our milk..... They were located on the side of the house where the driveway was.....

PORT HURON -- Just about anyone who grew up in southeast Michigan in the '50s and '60s knows, as Milky the Clown used to say, "There's magic in Twin Pines milk." But the Knowlton family knows there's some magic in the trucks that used to deliver the milk to doorsteps, too
"Supermarkets really put us out of business," says Mickey Knowlton, looking out the door of a restored 1950s milk truck. The truck has been restored for the Knowlton Ice Museum in Port Huron Township. Knowlton drives a similar truck for a dairy farm.
