It is getting to the point where I refuse to listen or watch it because it takes my joy and makes me mad.

It's often a pack of misleading half truths anyway.

I find things to pray about during the news, especially local news.

No, most (if not all) of the national news is actually fake (there's no law that they have to tell you the truth).

Satan tried to tempt Jesus by offering all of the kingdoms....that tells me ALL...yes, ALL.....ALL of the kingdoms are manipulated or controlled by Satan for the time being. Satan hates mankind and he absolutely hates Christians, he has various devices and traps to trip them and cause roadblocks among them.

The national news belongs to Satan.

Jesus gave us a great commission, it was not in uselesssss politics.

i have certain sources that i go to (depending on the nature of the topics). but even then i'm an independent thinker and sift everything with the truth of what I know from the Bible. the news is still news if you skip the commentators hyperbole.

I do watch the news before work, it's interesting to see what they consider worthy of reporting.

I watch the flood news so I'm informed whether the road I'm taking is flooded.

No, I stopped watching/listening/reading the news.

Its all negative, "click-bait", half-truth stories full of injuries, death, natural disasters, crime and perversions. There is no need for a Christian to fill himself with it.

I also stopped watching events in politics.

My life has much more joy, much less worries and my mind is more clean and simpler.

I have a tendency to avoid it, except for local news reports. I read them online instead of watching.

I do watch 20/20, but watch it on hulu and I'm selective about which episodes I will watch.

I mostly avoid the news because it is often depressing and/or frightening and I don't need that in my life. Plus a lot of news is biased and promotes things that are wrong.

I watch local news, so I can know what's going on around me. Sometimes I'll watch national news but when politics come on I change the channel. I have an online site that's been pretty accurate politically and I'll read there from time to time....

I wanted to add that I have a subscription to Newspapers.com It is a ton of newspapers, from all over the country, archived. But I'm selective about which articles I read. I mostly do it for research for my writing and family history.

I don’t really watch or listen to the news in general. Occasionally I do. And if I hear about something I might look up news on it. I also read some news. I like reading local news.

I follow the news to stay informed. Even if the reporting leaves something to be desired, I'll have a better idea of what people are talking about at work. Some of it also impacts my life. Politics and the weather, for instance.
