I could see myself with a 37-year old, but then I'm 31.

My problem is that all the awesome guys I meet are in their mid- to late-twenties.

At first, people had to give reasons. That was kind of fun. Then it got totally random.

There was a male and female hosting the event.
Ladies gave their crushes to the female host.
Gents gave their crushes to the male host.
Then the two hosts compared lists to see if there were any matches.

The thread got closed down because matchmaking is not allowed.
But not before some matches were made.
I know one shy guy and one shy gal that hooked up from that.

The matchmaking thread also gave some tips on catching a guy.
Myself I successfully used the bopping guy on head with frying pan technique.
Then the spinoff thread which is still going strong is a flirting thread.

We had a "flirting" thread on another singles forum I used to post on. It developed a life of its own and led to like 2 million posts over 3 years.

One day, one of the gals suddenly says "wouldn't it be cool if we could all meet in real life?"

Well, one thing led to another and I helped organize a real life get together. 12 people fromacross the US and Canada on Labour Day weekend. Rented a huge, 5-bedroom, 19th century house in Pennsylvania. That weekend eventually spawned three marriages, all of which are still together.
