I now agree that age matters less and less as you get older... but this was a learned thought not something that came natural.

Hmm, well, nothing is set in stone of course, but odds are it wouldn't be a wise match.

I could see myself with a 37-year old, but then I'm 31.

My problem is that all the awesome guys I meet are in their mid- to late-twenties.

Hey, if they're awesome guys, that should mean as a whole package deal ... so they would have to be mature enough for you. If they are, then no reason that age difference should matter.
