I did like him, but I think this time around a little more guarding of the heart. Then, again I do it all the time and it has gotten me nowhere but more hurt and sadness. I don't know, you are right, friendship better then nothing.

I guess it's good that he asked, but my wondering was why people are touching your hair in the first place.....it just seems like such an odd thing.

I thought I put this in the crush thread instead of the IJWTS thread.

For the first time in my life I went on a blind date tonight. I thought, hey what am I going to lose. I was extremely nervous, but I thought my hair looked fabulous and my dress was nice. Other then that, I'm not sure. I liked him, and he is realllly funny, and super cute, but we will see.
I really loved those awkward silence moments. I think he was nervous too. And I caught him looking at me a few times. Thats good, no?
P.S the Japanese Cherry ice tea was divine.


Edit: He asked me if he could touch my hair. I was so nervous cause this morning it just would not do what it had to, so I thought, forget it, if the hair is not good then nothing is going to be good. I'm telling you, my hair is my best feature, without it I am but, it somehow looked really great later on.

Maybe hair-touching is a cultural thing? I don't think you'd catch strangers touching your hair here in U.S. (has anyone ever had that happen?) But Ethy DOES have awesome hair And she's so beautiful and amazing, I can't imagine any guy could ever just be friends with her.

I've had people touch my hair plenty of times. Especially in Louisiana.

It's kind of strange, but doesn't really bother me.


PS. My hair is naturally very curly and that's when it gets touched. So....maybe it's curly hair people want to feel? I don't know. lol.

If you are blessed with beautiful curls then people more often than not wish to touch it. My house mate has the most gorgeous thick, curly hair and it's pretty much the one thing strangers will come up and ask to touch. Fully understandable, it's beautiful hair. Ethies hair is also most beautifully awesome

In my case, it usually starts with staring. People will stare at me for a few minutes. Then they wonder over and kinda mumble/ask. It's really CUTE when kids do it. Anyhow, it's mostly women who ask to touch my hair. The day a man asks to touch my hair, I'll probably be....
