CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You should! I just got mine cut two weeks ago. My sister (a licensed cosmetologist) gave me bangs and shoulder length hair. I'm not sure if I'll keep the bangs, but I love the length. My hair was to the middle of my back and I hadn't done anything major with it in a couple of years, so it was time.

Well, there are some people who ask first, and I say okay.
But usually, I don't get that, and honestly most touching I get is from men. For example, one day, I'm just standing and then I feel someone in back of me feeling my hair, I turn around and give a look. LOL.
I also, get this a lot at parties. "Love your hair" and then somehow their hands seem to be in content with my head.
As for the date, there will be a second one.
But, honestly, no hope high or anything. I think after these few weeks, I'm not going to think about it. Whatever, it is, it is!
Also, thank you for being excited for me. But, not as much as my mom. She has already married me off with kids. Hahaha.

Those who've known me since I came here might remember that I cut my hair in December '08. I tend to go in cycles; grow it for about 2 years, hate it, cut it off, miss the long hair, grow it for another 2 years, hate it again, cut it off again. I've literally been going through this ritual my whole life lol. I don't have the time, money, or desire to constantly maintain any one hairstyle. When it's short, I dream of it being long, but once it's long, it's so heavy and thick and frizzy that I can't do anything with it, so I start dreaming about how cute it is short, etc etc etc.

Hmmm. From anyone else I would take that as an insult. But since we seem to be on the same path to crazy, I'll forgive you.
Oh, and I guess I should add that I don't truly qualify for this thread right now (not that there is a requirement of crushes to post here or anything). No crushes, no real interests. I mean, sure there are fabulous guys here on CF (and I'm sure somewhere, hiding, locally), but I'm just not in a crushing state of mind right now. Well, unless you count crushes on cities. I have a huge crush on Boston, with an ever growing crush on Raleigh as I remember how nice and warm it was there and with lots of turtles.
