CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My first time posting in this group, so hello everyone! I have never really had a "human" best friend. My best friend has always been my dogs. I hope to have a best friend one day, that person just hasn't come along yet!

Welcome Gwen'sMom. I don't have a best friend either, it's good you have your dogs. My landlord doesn't allow cats
otherwise I'd have one.

I just dropped my bf off at her house, she came over for dinner, went with DH to the video store and got a movie with him, and we all came back and had popcorn and hung out.
I feel so blessed to have her in my life, we share everything to the point that some people, the guys at Blockbuster, think she and DH are married!!!
My kids love her and she is a major part of our family. My only concern is that God is going to call her into fulltime mission work in Africa and she will have to leave me. What a sacrifice if that happens.

I have a best local guyfriend who is a minister; William.
I have best internet friends; gals and guys; Cindy, J, Pam, Mary, Tim, and Don.
I really consider ALL of my friends dear to my heart; just few I get close enough to to reveal my deepest heart and them to me, so that is what I consider in my "best" friends.

First time for me to post in this group.
10 years ago i had a best friend but know she lives in another country and i miss her a lot but God has blessed me with the most wonderful best friend one can ever have , my baby sis and I thank God for her.

I too have had some best friends in another country. Although we weren't able to connect in conversation as much because of our language differences, I still feel like this great joy every time I get a letter or something from them. Ironically both of them have never met, but had a lot of similarities in being very outgoing.

I have been blessed with many very good friends, but my best friend is Dan. He was a very big part of my decision to accept Christ! We talk almost daily and he is a true Brother in Christ.

Yeah, JPPT1974, I might consider my dad my best friend since he's the one I can talk to when I'm going through hard times and will pray with me. I just hope and pray the man I marry will be just as good as my dad at listening and conversation.

I have 2 best friends (a brother + sister) whom I have known for 28 years. I have 3 other girlfriends that I met in Jr. High that would make us knowing each other for 20 years. We are scattered through 2 states but we always manage to get together several times a year. Its amazing how close we still are. I couldn't make it without them.
