I don't know that the "Jewish People" or our relationship with them is a real issue, but there ARE "Times of refreshing" - the last MAJOR ONE was 1966-1978 or so, and it was GLOBAL in its effect. It Changed almost every denominational group (whether they liked it or not), and introduced MANY concepts to the Body of Christ that weren't as well perceived before.
I expect that there'll be several more times of refreshing/revivals in the future - and it's about time for another to roll through.
The problem with using "TIMES OF REFRESHING" as a statement about a tsunami of revival, is that that phrase is not in that context.
The phrase is from Acts 3, when Peter and John went to the temple and The Lord used them to heal the crippled man, which then gave them an audience to point to The One who worked the miracle, to bring them to repentance and salvation.
Acts 3:9 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
There is a problem with this mindset of a spiritual tsunami / revival. The problem lies in not seeing where we are in this world, based on the scripture and what is coming on the world and God's people, based on the scripture.
As a result, any person that deems themselves, an apostle, a prophet, a bishop, a reverend, one who has some SPECIAL ANNOINTING, SPECIAL REVELATION or NEW WORD FROM THE LORD, can then stir up folks who are not sufficiently grounded in the word.
Then, as often happens, they make merchandise of God's people in the midst of a false word, false prophecies, false annointing = FALSE REVIVAL, all based on events and "experiences" that are errant and extra-biblical.
