I put this one together using reftagger. I copied it from Wiki but added the function of reftagger. Hover your mouse over each verse citation to read it without clicking it. Very educational and should be wonderful for those who wish to wallow in the Law...

613 Laws of the Old Testament

The difficulty of Law was never Law, but the people. Is there a lesson there in the Law? Yeah, a big one. The most important lesson of all.

Hebrews 7:
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them

If
'any viewer' takes this factual seat, God Himself will show them wonderful things in the Law. Things that 'no man' can teach.

Fashionistas agree, the wool/linen weave is faux pas.

Isn't there one that says you can't wear white until Easter?

You must wear sackcloth and shave yer head

Amos 8:10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head;
and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.

There are only ten. Name one commandment that doesn't fall under one of the ten.

Well, to be clear, there are 613 Mitzvot, however they all fall under one of the categories of the Aseret ha-Dibrot (10 Commandments). The 10 are category headings for the 613 laws, as opposed to individual laws themselves.

Jesus fulfilled the Law so we do not have to. He said it is finished. Either it is or it isn't. Which do you believe? If righteousness could be attained by the Law then Christ died for nothing. The summation of it is found in Acts 15. and the familiar 'If we love the Lord with all our hearts, love our neighbors as ourselves', and follow these words...
““For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials: that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell.”” (Acts 15:28–29, NASB95)
I can see no reason to point a finger at anyone and say they are lacking. I mean what do we do argue with the Holy Ghost? If he says we are doing well who are we to tell someone otherwise? Jesus lived under the Law perfectly, he died under the Law sinless and arose to heaven to present that offering to the Father. It was accepted. He now gives us grace within these boundaries I have set forth as I see it in the Scripture.
Do you follow those words?

Did you notice the redundancy?

Who put this together, and were they under the direction of the Holy Spirit?
The OP made this page, it is a copy of the list of commandments, statues and Instructions. What do you find redundant?

Reading it alone is shriveling to one's spirit. God never is.
Who do you think gave these Commandments, Statues and Instructions? Which,( or if all, state 'ALL'), of these shrivels your spirit?

The following are the 613 commandments and their source in scripture, as enumerated by Moses Maimonides.

  1. BOOK ONE: THE BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE
  2. To know there is a God ~ Exodus 20:02
  3. Not to entertain thoughts of other gods besides Him ~ Exodus 20:03
  4. To know that He is one ~ Deuteronomy 6:04
  5. To love Him ~ Deuteronomy 6:05
  6. To fear Him ~ Deuteronomy 10:20
  7. To sanctify His Name ~ Leviticus 22:32
  8. Not to profane His Name ~ Leviticus 22:32
  9. Not to destroy objects associated with His Name ~ Deuteronomy 12:04
  10. To listen to the prophet speaking in His Name ~ Deuteronomy 18:15
  11. Not to test the prophet unduly ~ Deuteronomy 6:16
We'll just start with the top ten and go on from there.

As Jesus said Himself:"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." ~Matthew 11:28-30
He certainly wasn't speaking of the Torah there. One is under burden because one sins.

Sounds like Jesus was telling those burdened under this soul-killing nonsense to come to Him for relief from these shackles and chains.

So am I understanding you correctly Brinny? You believe that G-d Holy word is nothing but "soul-killing nonsense" and "shackles and chains".

as in trusting that Jesus accomplished what josephearl posted? it appears he does.

Do you?

I don't believe those 613 commandments are God-breathed. it is man that embellished such redundancy and nonsensical "poundings" of oppression and distortion. Jesus himself, the Lord of the Sabbath, and God Himself in the flesh clarified who He is and what He provides. Here we see WHO God is...the Lifter of our heads, and the Wiper Away-er of our tears, and the Embracer of the weary:

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." ~Matthew 11:28-29

Jesus clarified the commandments that summarize what is required for a child of the most High:

"Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.' ~Matthew 22:36-40

it is similar to this verse:

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" ~Micah 6:8

we recognize WHO God is by his Father-heart. Jesus was correct when He said to Phillip:

"Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?" ~John 14:9

Whatever happened to God's 2 Commandments:
1. LOVE the Lord your GOD with ALL  your soul & mind & heart.
&
2. LOVE  each other, AS I LOVE  you.
On the previous page, I ventured reminding :) all of us
what God/Jesus said all His laws hinged on, & which He fulfilled, iow LOVE is our linchpin.

Indispensable LOVE cannot be replaced; certainly Not by 613 laws which Christ fulfilled

only God's LOVE by which we were saved, & as we practice...it can set us FREE  and
why Jesus told us: "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Whatever happened to all scripture being God breathed and inerrant? The 613 commandments fall under that, so if you are an inerrantist, you have to believe he gave those commands. Otherwise you're cherry picking.

Jesus completed what God required. Jesus also violated some of those commandments, which indicates that they were man-given, and not from God. the traditions of man came into play here with religion ad nauseum. they had nothing to do with a righteous relationship with God.

These "commandments" could not save anyone. Why do you think Jesus came to die on the cross?
