Well, thank you. Interesting how I got that name. I was debating a rather aggressive atheist on a board a long time ago. He wasn't having much luck, and finally told me I just didn't understand how "barbaric" a religion Christianity is.

So I said, "call me the barbarian,then." The other atheists thought it was funny, although he wasn't amused. So, that's how I became the Barbarian.

I guess "Eastern Rite" would work. "Orthodox" has another meaning in religion, which applies to your tradition as well as to various others.

Petty point, but I was under the impression that "Eastern Rite" refers to Roman Catholic churches that follow a liturgy similar to that of the Orthodox churches e.g the Ukrainian Catholic Church.

Actually, "Eastern Rite" is used for all Eastern Orthodox churches. "Eastern Rite Catholics" is the proper term for Uniate churches that have returned to the Roman Catholic Church, but retained their traditional rites and liturgy.

Which is not to say that non-uniate Eastern Orthodox churches are not valid apostolic churches; as far as Catholics are concerned, they are churches in the Biblical sense.

That is correct. I happen to be a Western Rite Orthodox, but that is beside the point and explaining why Eastern Orthodox is annoying and would only confuse Mr. Barbarian. He seems confused enough as it is.

Ugggg! says the caveman. I choose my avatar based on my interest in the mythical common ancestor of man, Homo habilis to be exact. I originally thought the butterfly Ug was looking at was a hand axe, thus the Handy Man (Homo habilis).

Anyway, just thought I would share that for what it's worth.

i've been wondering, what is the creationist view on goosebumps or goosepimples? I looked on AIG and found nothing about the functionality.

Of course not lol How can evolution be true if the Bible clearly states that God created Adam and Eve and so forth. I really don't see how there is any debate among Christians about this. It's right there in the Bible people! Read it, learn it. Either you accept the Bible or accept evolution. You can't have it both ways!

A LOT will be interesting on the day of judgment...:o
