If a person confesses the risen Lord ( Romans 10:9-13 etc.)but is unable to be baptized in this life, I believe God will provide to those He knows ( John 3:5-8 etc.).I was just wondering does a person need to be baptized in water in order to be saved ?
When a church overlooks this stated salvation by faith and instead considers salvation another way, ie through water immersion, I consider that church a traditional church, since they obviously want to follow a church tradition instead of scripture.
The basis for asserting that baptism is the normal way of receiving converts into the Church is a matter of Scripture, not tradition.

I am very thankful I was baptized as an infant. I believe this baptism protected me in the course of my childhood and facilitated the extremely dynamic faith that I had at the time.
So was I & was bought up church of England, all my life I have felt that Jesus was looking over me & he has also taught me some valuable lessons especially when I was bad.

Again, we don't have a contradiction in scripture, but one of us can certainly misunderstand scripture, or accept an outright lie.
It means if you know Jesus and yet reject Him you will not go to Heaven.

Please tell me, how in relative or not. I was under the impression that Christ said "I tell you that you will be with me in paradise." It seemed to be pretty cut and dried under Jesus' commandment in that moment. It seemed that the their was assured his place in heaven next to Christ.Sorry, but this is relative, how.

God saves us through Baptism, according to the Word of God that is how we as Christians are saved. That does not preclude God from saving those who are not baptized.When you say "Baptism ... and how Christians are saved", isn't that also saying water baptism is necessary for salvation?

Baptism is necessary for those who have heard the Gospel and believe. Do not reject it. That doesn't mean God is hindered in any way from saving others. Water is the sign of the sacrament. I would like to make a correction and clarification. There are other ways to receive baptism, such as a baptism of desire or baptism of blood, where one receives the same fruits of the sacrament but are not the sacrament.So if you believe God can still save those who are not baptized, that means you also believe it isn't necessary for salvation.
Alright then.
But back to my original point, under the gospel of the kingdom, water baptism is necessary for salvation (Mark 16:16)
