  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Citizenship requires 5 years of residency. I am married to an American and have been here for a considerable time. I have never seen anything sensible on Faux News. Ever. I am not much interested in interviews. I like to read the news in depth, but these talking heads don't mean much to me.

I like to see interesting people being interviewed one-on-one. Talking heads in the form of an anchor do nothing for me; actually old 1980s TV news where they focused on the anchorman's head was kind of creepy.

He wasn't threatening, he was joking. You've never heard someone go "I'mma kick your -beeeeep-" in jest? A couple of my coworkers, the one in particular says "I'm going to whup your -beeep-!" nearly every single day.

You know what happens? We laugh and continue about our merry way. And neither one of us have ever harmed a single person in our lives.

Sometimes drastic measures need to be taken to avoid a crisis situation. He said from the start, such measure would be temporary until a proper vetting system could be put into place. Then, when that is done, they can enter, legally, after they are vetted properly.
Your compadre at work is not running for President of the United States, the leader of the Free World. Is he?

Trump will never be able to ban people based upon their religion no matter what he promises now. Ever. What's next? Humiliating then banning those who criticize him, like he already does? Where would you stop him? When he comes for... you??

The man is a buffoon. I don't want a buffoon for my president. Better look below the surface while you can with this one. Or be prepared to watch months of tedious Congressional committee hearings for impeaching him before too long.

What did Jesus say about such empty talk?

"But let your word be 'Yes', 'yes,' ; 'No,' 'no.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil [one]. (Matt 5:37)

And what was said about liars:
Joh_8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.

Better safe than sorry, right, just like with the Japanese. Treat people differently because of religion now, race then.
You just don't get it, do you? I think you do. I think you are just being snarky. The Japanese were interned for their protection form the citizens of the US, as well as vetting them for spying.
As for the refugees, There is truly no way to vet them. What Country are they from? No one knows. There is no record of who they are, where they are from, or if they are a part of ISIS. It is not a wise idea to allow them in our Country to do the things that they did in France, and Belgium. Would you like to see that happen here? Don't be snarky.

Now, now, you better watch it or you'll have Obama on your butt about being "Islamophobic". You know, it's a sad thing that my browser recognizes that word as a valid word now? *sigh* Seriously, Firefox?

Anyways, we can't ever dare have suspicions about Muslims and Islamic Terrorism. If we do, we are "bigoted".

I don't hate Muslims, but I do realize that the Qu'ran teaches both violence and peace and there's no real way to tell which a person believes in until he shoves a gun in your face.

I don't think it is wrong to be suspicious of Muslims when you just can't tell which are which at first glance. I bet the people who worked in that place in San Bernardino had no prior warning that Mr. Farook was gonna walk in to his workplace one day packing heat for no apparent reason. His co-workers knew the guy and they never saw it coming.

And we're not supposed to have rational suspicions towards Muslims? What if my boss hired a Muslim who might someday walk into our store with an AK47 and decide that we all must die in the name of Allah?

Certain people will always jump at any chance to disrupt and ruin anything they disagree with.

It's kind of business as usual in this country lately, it seems. Sad.

I've always known that young adults are more likely to be democrats and young adults are also more likely to be violent. Liberals have been rude, vulgar, and more inclined to use force to get their way for a couple decades now.

At any rate, I think Trump is a dangerous man, a sociopath. I can't stand Hillary, but at least she's a regular low life politician who won't try to be a dictator. My vote is basically for "Whoever is running against Trump."

In general, I'm just disgusted with this election. I'm embarrassed to be an American.

I want Donald Trump to win but i dont vote at all. Not a fan of democracy and try to keep my passport up to date if something really hits the fan.

Reasons why I prefer Trump: Is the only candidate that wants peace with Russia (yes for me its of paramount importance) and does not want WW3 as the other candidate, who already started ww3 under the title of arab spring.

As a first generation american, my mother immigrating here legally and my father immigrating here illegally, i despise both legal and illegal immigration. As a person with dozens of relatives who were born overseas and emigrated and are now citizens it comes from the bottom of my heart to tell immigrants: Shut up with your crybaby and complaining we dont want to hear you!!!!

Its also about time someone told Mexico and especially the mexican people to shut the hell up as well. That in past years mexican journalist in Mexico have reported about the entrenched caste system of Mexico who send the bottom of the barrel troublemakers to the United States (meaning the gangsters and rapists) and this is how they avoid social unrest in their country. Thats right Carlos Slim and Vincente Fox would be on the receiving end of the violence if they could not export there lowly members of the mexican caste system to America, who would in turn have to seek social benefits and redistribution from the oligarchs like Vincente and Slim. Now you know the real reason these mexican slimeballs are terrified of Trump, their own kind will end up skinning them alive if they cant be incentivised to emigrate up north. These same mexicans should also know that there racism towards the people of "EL NORTE" by calling us "gringos" which is nothing more than an epithet akin to the N-word will not be tolerated just like the rich mexicans do not tolerate you and have banished you to 'el norte'..

I'll be voting for a Democrat, regardless of what goes on.

Curious...is there a real Democrat running for president or just Socialists and modified Socialists? and what does Socialism do to the Biblical principal of needing to work hard so that you may have something to share with others? (Democrats just take it and share it with whom they please...i.e. Planned Parenthood and other left-wing, anti-Christian activists...the largest share going to the collectors of the tax.) Scripture clearly portrays our earnings as our own while subject to taxation. Democrat policies have rapidly destroyed the moral fabric of our society in just 8 short years to the point we now are subject to law suits should we speak against homosexuality in our churches or take Christian stands on a number of moral issues and they take our money in the form of taxes to fund all kinds of depravity.
Remember Obama's comment early on...some are still hanging on to their guns and their Bibles...now that is a very telling comment bearing shades of his policies to come. He spoke against the Most High in this comment and we all should have recognized that. Let's wake up! We can no longer do a simple party-line vote!
Hebrews 5:13-14:
Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

I am voting for Trump because we need a new national security policy. If someone wants to kill me for it, that is their problem.

I do wish Trump would develop a plan with the Russians to coordinate efforts to save the Christians in Syria and Iraq however.

Don't you think Trump should actually have a security policy that you could evaluate before you decide to vote for him?

I'm dreading this summer, & all months up to election. No doubt in my mind the mob mentality against Trump is to psyche the masses into thinking Hillary is the best choice for president. As if! The best choices have already dropped out of the race....smh

Hilary for prison 2016!!!!

But in all honesty, I don't have any faith in our political system anymore. They're both on the same globalist team in my opinion.

Totally agree. And God can not bless any country who's masses are shutting Him out.

I vote Hillary.......for Prison.

Seriously, that woman needs to be in prison for her crimes. The only reason she's still in the race, is because she's trying to wait out the statute of limitations which is almost up. She knows she's not going to beat Trump, and she's willing to sink the entire democratic party just to stay out of jail, lol. It's rather pathetic when you look at it...

Couldn't agree more. Sadly, I believe she's going to be our next president... our votes are irrelevant at this stage in the game. :(

Let's face it, the US political system is somewhere between and mess and a bad joke.
Too many still fall under the delusion that we have a two party system, the only difference between a career Democrat and a career Republican is their lapel pin.

Hillary is just plain evil. She is likely the most corrupt person in politics today.
Sanders is delusional. He has never held a real job in his entire life and has no clue how an economy works.
Trump is a pompous so-and-so. His greatest virtue is that the elite hate him (almost as much as they hate us, the peasants).

The saddest part of all this is "people always get the leaders they deserve".

Sounds like a rant, but the really sad thing is that way too much of what you say there is true.

Yeah it was good getting it off my chest. And considering all my relatives over the age of 45 are immigrants and have worked with probably over 900 immigrants in my life, I like calling them out on their hippocracy. Don't worry I am just as vocal on things that tick me off about anglo-society as well.
