CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How can people see what is going on and not recognize what is going on? There is a hot link in the photo to a news montage I found interesting. There is some violence, and a F bomb in a text shown on the screen, so if you find that kind of stuff offensive stear clear.

Why are they disrespecting the american flag if they are so concerned what Trump will do to their beloved nation?
Ahh Ha! That's why. Fly the Mexican flag. Fly the Soviet Union flag. But burn the eeeevil american flag. Beat up voters. Burn cars. Is that is what responsible people do to save the country from a perceived evil racist like Trump? This entire circus reminds me of a 3 year old having a temper tantrum.

Saying that an entire group of people all share a negative trait, like Jews are greedy or Blacks are lazy. It insinuates that they are lower than one's own group.

Let's be honest. It's not only because the judge is Mexican-American. You cannot ignore all the rest of his life, and you can be sure that if the judge instead were Alberto Gonzales, the former US Attorney General, the situation would be totally different.

Seems like, most of the friends I have are not Trump supporters. Of the few who are, they seem to match the sterotype in one or more ways. . . with no evidence to the contrary.
It strikes me odd, that not supporting Trump "automatically" gets me labeled "leftist" though that couldn't be further from the truth & that seems valid to the same folk uncomfortable with my anecdotal (as indicated & with the limitations anecdotal evidence always has) associations toward Trump supporters. . . . who sang "Ironic"? Man, that was a good song. . . I digress. . . .
For the record, I am an Anarcho-capitalist. . . which is kind of a Libertarian who doesn't trust Minarchy beyond seeing it as a necessary stepping stone to Statelessness. It is a point of view that is neither left nor right, but concerned wholly with the other axis (Various flavors of authoritarianism vs. personal responsibility & cooperative statelessness)

As it strikes me odd that supporters of Trump automatially get labeled racist, sexist and xenophobic (amongst other derogatory labels). And it also strikes me odd that the progressive lefists are almost exclusively the ones to resort to violence against those who dare to express a political opinion other than their own....witness the violence against Trump supporters if you doubt that statement. I think there is fair probability of the GOP convention experiencing a similar repeat of what happened at the DNC in 1968. However it won't be by unhappy GOP members but by progressive leftists descending on Cleveland attempting to shut down any opposing viewpoint; we will see what happens....I hope I am wrong.....
