Do Psychics Work?

I am always worried that I am in trouble with spirits, God its sort of become an OCD thing. Everyone here that knows me knows I'm superstitious. So in order to receive closure I want to connect with a Psychic to connect with the other side to get reassurance that I am not in trouble with God or possibly others.

Psychics promote themselves as having access to spirits and being able to communicate to Heaven. I know this site is divided on the issue so can people responding to this thread provide reasons why they work, or why they don't work. I am gullible and if a Psychic is good enough at his job he or she will probably convince me. But this gets back to the main question should I pursue a Psychic?

Some do have access to demons and will tell you somethings about your future.
Others are just picking up on things they see about you and will give you vague predictions about your future.
But, none of the psychics have access to God. He said in the OT to kill witches.
Paul rebuked the fortune telling psychic in Acts 16.

Your best option is to seek the Scriptures.
God is not mad at you. Romans 5:8-9 says
But God demonstrated His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Having been justified by His blood, how much more we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Also look at Romans 8:28-39 and Ephesians 3:18-19.

Why would you want a psychic when you can pray to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords? Who knows all. Who not only knows the future, but controls it?

Because I cant directly talk to him. Had an appiration from him twice in 2012 never again afterwards.

If being a psychic is wrong then God just considers it misguided. I doubt that hes outright angry. Probably dissapointed that people make a living doing it. I just need to talk to him desperately because I am really on my last leg at this point and really depressed, obsessed etc.

Try prayer, listening to worship music, and keeping busy. Get with some fellow Christians. These all help when I'm in a state of depression. Saying a prayer for you now.

They're just fakers. No demons necessary.

Going to a psychic to reach the otherside will immediately put you ''in trouble with God'. So that would be self defeating. Pray instead.

You need psychological help, and quite possibly a church with better instruction. Going to a psychic will not fix what's really going on.

Go to a church and ask the Pastor of that church for help if you lack the confidence of talking to God.
Psychics are either going to just tell you something so they can take your money or they talking with demons.
Don't go to a psychic.

If they're talking to demons, they're doing it the hard way.

But yeah - seek spiritual guidance and don't ask "psychics" the time of day.
