Let's not forget that males can be victims of rape as well. I think a better question to ask would be whether or not God protects His people from anything danger......The answer would be the same even if you drill down into specific categories.

I believe the answer is clear:

Yay thou I walk through the valleys of the shadows of Death, I will fear no evil.......why?....because thou art with me.......And God for me and more than a whole world against me.

Therefore, NOBODY who EVER suffers ANYTHING in the material world is one of God's people, since God protects His people from EVERYTHING!

Therefore, it is part of your dogmatic formulation that any and all rape victims cannot be in the least bit saved or holy. Okay.

Too bad about molested children, they're all unholy beasts in your eyes, since God didn't protect them.
I see you have trouble understanding my posts. I gave no opinions, only quoted a few verses from the bible. If you would like to discuss interpretations of these verses we can do so. If you are unable to have reasonable conversations, continue as you were.

What's your point? Are you trying to say that Christians can't be raped, murdered, hacked in two, slaughtered, burned, boiled, drawn and quartered, beheaded, take your pick? Are you ignorant of your own history or do you just have a penchant for proof texts. You don't want to go down this road with me. To suggest that Christians can't suffer because they are somehow protected is not only a slap in the face of so many who have died for the faith, but it is a slap in the face of our Lord.
Try again. It this your interpretation of this passages of Scripture? It isnt mine.....For there were no Christians at the time of these writings.

Thanks for the conversation.

Your interpretations of what you read are interesting.....Yet I find no fault in anything you say or believe.

Thanks for the conversation.

That's nonsense. You quoted those passages in the context of the question as to whether or not a Christian can be raped, or is protected from rape. The implication you made with those passages is clear. The onus of explanation lies with you. So, let's have it. Do you think God protects Christians from rape, or murder, or any other suffering common to all humans?

Our conversation hasn't even begun. I made an assertion and you followed that with some bible passages. That's not a conversation. But, this will be. So, handle up. Do you think Christians are protected from the suffering common to all humanity? And while we're at it, do you think those who do suffer are somehow not Christian?

What about the worldwide flood when only Noah and seven with him were saved on the ark ?
That seems like something physical to me.

What worldwide flood?

It's part of the implicit rules in the original post and further posts. If you have to admit to this "God" fellow, along with "saints" and a "church", then the "Flood" thing goes along with the package. Now, if you throw all that out, then the original question needed no answer, and your participation in this thread is likewise nothing.

If it turns out you are Orthodox, then St. Wulfthryth of of Wilton is a saint of your Church, since she lived long before the Schism, and just like all other pre-schismatic Western saints, she would be acceptable. Or are you in one of those odd little schisms that seems to be all too common in the East in the present day?

Sorry, but I have not heard of such saint.

Strong10,

When you say God's "chosen," I think you are referring to God's "elect," those who are believed by some Christian churches to have been predestined to salvation from before their births.

If so, then that is what it means to be "chosen." Salvation.

No guarantee of a life without troubles is included.

Hello, but Noah still died physically but not spiritually. Noah's faith enabled him to live...John 11:25...Jesus said to her, " I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die,

Dont forget the next verse:

"And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

Some worldly women are protected, (by God);
some Godly women are not protected.

There's no "catch-all" Word in Scripture about this.

You and I tend to disagree on several topics but I think that you just hit this out of the park...... I totally agree with you on this.

There are worldly women who are protected by Messiah Yeshua - Jesus.... (perhaps due to prayers for them by a parent or grandparent or friend)......... There are women who have the Holy Spirit who are not protected for many reasons. One of which could be that they are Christians in an Islamic nation and they know what risks they are taking if they witness for Messiah........ but they take those risks..... knowing that they could be betrayed....... arrested....... raped...... and far worse.

I know wordly women is not protected from rape.
But do God protect His chosen from rape?
John 12:25
Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1 Corinthians 4:11
Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place; 12 And labor, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 13 Being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the off scouring of all things unto this day. 14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you."

Matthew 5:3
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Luke 6:20
“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. 22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. 23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets. 24 “But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. 25 Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. 26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Matthew 10:22
You will be hated by everyone because of Me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; 24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. 25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith

1 Thessalonians 3:7
Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith. 8 For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.

*******

Not only does God not protect you, the world will seek you out.

I agree with the other comments. Persecution and trouble are part of life on Earth as a Christian.

I am inspired by the Jim Elliot story. He and others went to Ecuador to share Christ with the Indians in the Amazon. This tribe considered murder and revenge a virtue. The men were all murdered by the Indians. Elizabeth Elliot and the other wives went to them and forgave them of their murdering of their husbands, and continued to share the Gospel. They were so shocked that the women did not seek revenge that they came to faith.

God is not and has never been the author of any evil in this world, but as the Sovereign King of Creation, He uses all things for his glory.

Sometimes he intervenes sometimes he does not. There are too many factors to consider to understand why he does or does not intervene.
