Evidence is necessary if one is going to accept the concept the evidence relates to. The evidence for aliens is purely circumstantial: conditions such as those obtaining on Earth are likely to be present on many other planets, perhaps trillions of them in the universe, therefore it is possible that aliens may exist.
This circumstantial evidence is sufficient to convince @Warden_of_the_Storm that aliens might well exist. That is an understandable and rational position. I find the circumstantial evidence insufficient to arrive at that conclusion. I remain undecided.
