Honestly me too, but it has been a fun thread. That's not how I use it. I don't view it as a contest, but as a way of supporting someone who posts something I like or find though-provoking.
Ok I admit, mods if you ever catch me giving a rainbow effect to anyone I admit, it’s goading.Since we're on the subject, what is the rainbow or "optimistic" all about? I have never received an "optimistic" and felt good about it. Every time I get one I hear the person saying, "Well, we hope you can do better next time" or "Don't give up, you'll get there eventually." There's no positive way to take that. Or, am I misunderstanding it?

Hey when did you do that?I'm not goading, I just figured I'd give you one since I've never done it before (at least knowingly!) and have no real idea of its purpose anyway.
while we are at it a button for:There should then be a sorry button and a disagree button so the full spectrum of opinions is available. Those who disagree are not being represented unless they post as such.

No. That’s goading imo.Since we're on the subject, what is the rainbow or "optimistic" all about? I have never received an "optimistic" and felt good about it. Not any moreIs someone not getting the "likes" they think they deserve?
I've seen "optimistic" used slightly fancifully in a "that'd be great, but I seriously doubt it" sense, as inNo. That’s goading imo.
I usually get them when speaking about something practiced in Catholicism. But oh well. I often see their point in that rating. Like NFP, etc.I've seen "optimistic" used slightly fancifully in a "that'd be great, but I seriously doubt it" sense, as in
"Hey, maybe the Head of So and So will extend the olive branch to That Person and the centuties old-rift can be healed at last. This weekend, at the Synod!"
*optimistic*
