  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My daughter brought my attention to these "Australia is fake" people. I found the YouTube videos hilarious because they were so passionate about it. Do you have your cheque yet? I wonder how much we are owed. A nice big tax break wouldn't go astray.
This guy (warning lots of F this and that)
As to the fossil excavation site, we will have to agree to disagree. I think that is a marvellous example of the flood.

Of course new Zealand exists. That's where the Sydney harbour bridge ends.

So, how do we explain how Abel Tasman manage to sail right past Australia and not notice it but still found Tasmania and New Zealand? The world wonders.

Maybe Tasmania and New Zealand exist but mainland Australia doesn't. There, that explains it.

So do I, don't worry. (And Marmite, here in the UK where I now live, is good too — it actually tastes much the same, but it's not as strong. Not nearly potent enough to repel drop bears. Fortunately we don't have them here...)

I'll leave you to the Marmite, I recall having that years ago and it just wasn't the same.

I've never met an Australian that I didn't like but I don't trust any of them!

Hey now, we're very trustworthy! Vegemite is really Nutella ya'all.

The drop bears went extinct in Canada several thousand years ago. Evidence indicated they were killed off by being gored by jackalopes. Sadly the jackalope itself is highly endangered was last observed about 8 years ago in southwestern Saskatchewan. Here is the last photo:

I believe you have the world's oldest fossils in Canada, don't you? We've got a few pretty old ones in Oz as well...

Lets not get personal OK?
