  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yep, could be anybody, and you're right!

How's your favorite way to spend an evening?

Have a meal, do some reading, watch a film/go online a little, and then sleep.

Oddest thing you have eaten?

Favorite Novel?

What are you believing God for this year? - In other words, what is one thing you are faithfully looking for Him to bless you with, help you with, clear you of...etc...?

I'd say Calamari, I tend not to eat overly weird food. Oliver Twist is a good story. This year, I'd ask for greater boldness of faith, so that I may share it with others who come to me for help.

Ever been punched in the stomach
And how much did it hurt you?

No, I haven't been punched in the stomach. Have I made you mad in some way?:p

Your favorite evening sounds the same as mine. We have some things in common.

Who's the easiest person for you to talk to?

Junk foods you like?

Any phobias?

Did you/do you believe in Santa?

My mum's pretty easy to talk to, as we're rather alike. I have some of my dad's characteristics too, which is why we don't really talk much.

Junk foooooood.:yum: Hmmm, Strawberry Cheeeeeeeeesecake! Mince pies.:) And a really big Belgian Bun.^_^

I don't have any phobias as far as I know.

When I was much, much younger, I did believe in Santa.

If I ever have a family, I think I may forego the whole pretence of lying to my children about him. I'd teach them about the original St.Nicholas, but maybe not the whole "fat man down a chimey" gig.

I don't want to sound all "bah-humbug", but I'd want christmas to be for Christ in my home.

And yes, my wife would have power of veto.

Good man. :D :D

Ever cried during a movie? I have wept, but it wasn't a flood of tears. It's happened more than once, so it depends on the film.

Gotten a celebrities autograph? No. Although I did meet Rolf Harris once. He's an Australian artist/funny guy.

Where will you get married when the time comes? Hopefully, in a church. As for where, when, and to whom, I do not know.

How will you propose? Memorably.;) Hopefully, by then, I will know enough about the woman I love to plan something special.

Like day or night best? I like both, but I'll go for day.

What lifestyle would you like to have? One where I can provide financial comfort and security for myself and the people I love, in the present and in the future. I'd also like to be able to help others, either through tithes and/or personal trust funds. As long as that's what God wants me to do...;)

Of what are you most proud in your life? My good manners? They seem to be appreciated by many people; that can't be a bad thing.

What do you hope to be doing 5 years from now? Showering love upon my wife and children.

If you could live your life over again, what would you do differently? I'd worry less and bend the rules more.

What do you do when you want to treat yourself well? Organise as much as I can, so that I don't get flusterd. Sometimes, I'll just take myself off, buy a new book, see a film, and go where I want, without having to think of anyone else and what they might want to do. Or having to WAIT for them.

Do you like risks, or do you avoid them? What major risks have you taken in your life? I like calculated risks; I'd say leaving work to start self-employment is my biggest risk so far.

What are your weaknesses? How do you deal with them? Procrastination. I deal with it by taking charge of my surroundings; by keeping records and forming action plans.

What are the most important aspects of your life? My parents peace of mind; my growing faith in Christ; my physical health; my future as an independant young man. I think.

If you met your partner through an online dating service, what would you tell your friends and family when they asked where you met? I would say we met online. I have no hang-ups about meeting people online, it can bring people together, who would otherwise have not met each other. Like your daughter....

I agree about the online thing, my daughter and her fiance are perfect for each other, God uses technology.
What is your favorite smell?
How would you describe yourself?

What are some moments in your life that you would consider to be character defining?
What are you the most curious about?
If you had to choose, which could you live without: TV, the internet, a telephone?

What is your favorite smell? Freshly cut grass on a warm day.
How would you describe yourself? Wonderful.;) Caring, polite, thoughtful, sensible, funny, and modest too.:holy: :swoon:
What are some moments in your life that you would consider to be character defining? I'd say most of the times I moved house around the country. Seeing other countries; it's funny, when I think about it, there don't seem to be many individual moments, more of an ongoing process.
What are you the most curious about? It's a close tie between God and women; they're both great.
If you had to choose, which could you live without: TV, the internet, a telephone? TV

How bout egg nog ice cream?

Do you like parades?

I've never had egg nog. I've heard about it, but I don't know what it's made from. If I liked egg nog, I'd probably like egg nog ice cream.:yum:

Parades are fun, but I don't usually see many.

Are you an amusement park fan?

A nature fan?

How close does your sister live to you? Are you pretty close in a relationship sense?

I do like amusement parks, but there's never enough time to enjoy everything. I love walking and appreciating nature too; sometimes there is nothing more wonderous than God's creation.

My sister lives in the room across from mine; we see each other quite frequently, seeing as we haven't moved out yet.:p We get on fairly well, but our personalities often clash.

I wasn't the big brother I should have been, I think it's mainly down to the low levels of communication in our house. My grandpa was quite emotionless when raising my father and as I got to my teens, my dad wasn't really able to bond with me. So there's me with a lack of guidance, when I should be setting an example to little sister and now she forges her own friendships which she is very protective about keeping them seperate from home life.

I don't want to sound like I'm pitching a sob-story, that's just an explanation of the way things are. We work to make things better.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! :)

I agree about the amusement parks. Drives me insane. There is never enough time for anything. I get on 4 coasters and that's about it. Hardly worth the money and time. I isuggest fast pass.

And no, not pitching a sob story at all...I can relate to that. My friends emotionally raised me. Although things are turning around now, one person at a time. And it's never too late to be that big brother. Little by little and step by step. :)

Sorry if I missed it, but what exactly is the business you are starting up on your own?

Parents are great aren't they, although they miss the mark sometimes, and you're right, with time and effort life gets better.

As for work, it's affiliate marketing. Basically, I find a suitable ebook, advertise it, and then receive a commission from the sale, usually 50 - 75%, depending on the author. You can do this through e-bay too, but I'm in a bit of a pickle with paypal at the moment, so that's not an option yet.

Are you ready for 2007??:amen:

Well, I'd better be, cause it's here! Happy New Year to you all.
