I would strongly suggest that you study up on the history of citing authors, presenting historical information, handling manuscripts, etc. You will soon find that really up to the 20th century, there were very different standards in place, some of which we would find abhorrent today.

I was once a godless Naturalist formally educated in geology, with secular New Testament coursework.

But then I met the Author. May I say you are politely wrong.

Being without God in the world I understand. The Word coming alive I understand, when one is baptisted by His Spirit.

May I politely further add, what has happened is too many people have leaned on their own understanding to know what they know (Proverbs 3:5-7). Thus the flavors seen in a big city phone book: churchism. There is a root for such. We are to begin by the Spirit, and we are to finish be the Spirit. With wranglings set aside. such gossip was rampant in those days. So, not a good analysis.

The point is not that Eve was barren to get childs other than Cain and Abel during 130 years ...She rather feared something related to have childs...because of the curse that God have put on her related to what have happened in the Garden of Eden cited in Genesis Genesis 3:13-16

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

The whole Genesis 5 chapter demonstrate that the Adamites descendants were not in a hurry to get childs.

Seth was aged 105 years old when he bare his first child.
Noah was aged 500 years old when he bare his first child....

The reason that Cain is not listed in Genesis 5 is because God have discarded Cain as being the one who will carry the pure bloodline of Adam through wich Jesus will be born after generations through generations ....that was Seth who was selected by God...after that, that was the first male born of Seth who carry on the pure bloodline of Adam ....Read the list in Genesis 5

Genesis 5 list the male firstborn at the execption of Cain for the reason given above.

I'm not here to play with words. I'm interested in a serious study of Scripture . Therefore, I think it most important to be as precise as we can about what Scripture is saying. Saying "All inspired Scripture is from God" is obviously not the same thing as saying "All Scripture is inspired by God." Also, it is important to consider the problem of the canon.

There may have been 20 children before Cain and Able.
