CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am a follower of the bible. However I know God outside of the bible and knowing God outside of the bible, I cannot put Him in a box, in the bible, and keep Him there and not let Him out. God is the same always may be true in a way but it is used to pigeonhole everything in life and I know God outside of the human box and pigeonholes.

I do not watch the news if my life depend on it. I hear too many horror stories that make me sad. This world is very sad. I heard from a lady at work how this lady killed her children and then put them in the washer and dryer. She asked me how could someone do that. All I could reply is those demons. What is your knowledge about demons and scripture? What is a good book about demonolgy? I experienced...a lot of encounters with spirits. Demons...too, Do you think that is the only reason people can be so sick?

I have enough knowledge about demons, satan, and how he works. The purpose of this forum is to see if I can get any other information that I might not know of. So far everything been great...

that is so sad, this is why i hardly ever look at the news. i believe that is the devil, he comes to steal, kill and destroy and if a person listens to an evil spirit then they will do what the spirit tells them to do. i personally would not read about demonology i would read the Word and deal with them from that aspect. if we look for God he will show us the devil. i don't believe that demons are the only reason for sickness, sometimes we are sick because of what we eat, worry, stress, negative emotions, heridity, contagion, and sometimes it is a spirit.
God says that there is nothing covered that will not be revealed and that every hidden thing would be made known. Matthew 10:26

no, we cannot put God in a box because He is not containable and He would then cease to be God. but, anything that God does will not violate the principles of His Word.
Although He can and does do what He wants to, when He wants to and any way he wants to, He is not the author of confusion and He does not lie.

ok everywhere i go i see the topic referring to demons or satan ,SATAN is a defeated foe that INCLUDES demons, know 1 thing if you are a CHILD OF GOD satan nor minions can come to you without the permission of GOD only lost people can the devil come to openly remember this know this embrace it! i give up trying to shew the devil off i now march to a higher cloud I pray to GOD who the devil fears and obeys!!!!

Sounds like another way of saying follow the bible word for word or you are not Christian. If I am wrong, I apologize. If I am right, I will carry on. God can change whatever He wants to regardless of what anybody says. He has already done so.

Sorry to break this news, but Satan/Lucifer is a musician who is capable of playing beautiful music. In fact this ability was even created in him by God.
"Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created." Ezekiel 28:13
So Satan can both make and influence music (and it's not always goth - deth metal - black metal type rock.)
Likewise, people can have the natural gift of music and use it however they choose. Just because these homosexuals sang beutiful music does not make their choice of sexual behaviour justified. In fact, if anything it adds to the deception.
Ok, I just want to quickly address the debate about choosing to be gay or were they born 'who they are." They choose it in most cases. That's confirmed by studies which I don't have time to pull up, and I mean objective studies, not the biased pro-gay 'studies." Then there are a few that have some brain anomoly (or shall we just call it what it is: abnormality) they were born with and some doctors think this might lead them to be homosexual.
First of all not every homosexual has this anomoly. Secondly, those who do (it is a larger something gland or part of brain but I forget which one) have a physical/genetic abnormality. That could be a product of sin, or it could even be caused by demons. Remember when Jesus healed some people with infirmities that he actually cast out a demon - thus proving certain medical conditions are caused by demonic influence. So in light of this, even the percentage of homosexuals who think they were born that way because of some anomoly in their brain had better seek Christ for deliverance from this infirmity.
And maybe in light of this our prayers should be to cut to the root and attack the demonic influence that may have caused the physical abnormality, and heal them.
Note I use anomoly and abnormality interchangeably? I believe the few who have the phsyical things that supposedly lead to homosexuality have an abnormal anomoly in them that is not a part of Gods will for them to have.
But still, most gays become that way by choice.
I know of people who had both parents as alcoholics and medically they would be predetermined to be alcoholics but they were able to abstain because they chose another path. God can overcome the demonic & the physical, leaving us without excuse in the end.
So bottom line is that it's a choice no matter if they were born with the abnormality or if they were'nt.

This is something you should get straight for your own good. What you say is not true. Child of God or not, it is man that has the power of decision these days and it is by means of the confusion regarding his methods we see on this very thread that he deceives us into giving him that permission.
It is amazing how ignorant people are of this subject. God says in Hosea 4:6 God says "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Just take a look around and you can see how much knowledge Christians lack.
Sorry, wrong again. The devil can also 'come openly to' Christians who are ignorant of who they are and what they have in Christ just as easily as they can to the lost. I appreciate your heart in this, that you are encouraging people to believe in God's love and protection. It's true but becomes 'of none effect' when people are ignorant because they are taught and believe the traditions and doctrines of men instead of the accurate truth of God's word.

the adversary can come to a christian, jew or anyone for that matter through temptation, pray you do not give into temptation. You have the freewill to choose good or bad.

I think the problem when discussing such a general topic as "demons" it can get sidetracked into specifics when people start pointing out what demons are or are not responsible for....
As far as demons attacking Christians with or without permission, I think it happens both ways. We know in Job he (Satan) had to ask permission. But I think if we are ignorant of the wiles of the devils then we can be vulnerable and it is we who give licence for them to bother us.

Well if we all need to follow the scripture word for word to be a Christian....There is a whole lot of people who are not christians A WHOLE LOT.
I don't think that Satan have favorites or choosy. He wants to kill all of God's creations. So just because we might have the blood of christ over us...doesnt mean the enemy wont mess with us
