Sure, but not for salvation. One is saved WHEN they believe.Luke 13:3 is ongoing because sinning is ongoing.
Le'ts deal with the word "repent". I need to know how you understand the word before we can take the next step.Let's deal with this ONE STEP AT A TIME. Do you concede that repentance is mandatory after we become Christians?
What verse teaches that imputation is not a one-time act?Imputation is not a one-time act so one can optionally live in the wages of sin as you believe.
I'll tell you what makes me very sick. Those who totally misrepresent what I post. As you have. I've NEVER promoted the idea of "go ahead and sin all you want". It is a LIE to make that claim about my view. So knock it off already.People should know what you believe and promote with your posts. "FreeGrace2" does not believe in repenting from sins to be saved. You don't believe that endurance is required. Your "you can have Jesus and your sin gospel" makes me sick.
In Christ!
The reason is because turning from sin is totally impossible. We continue to sin. Duh. And the Greek word actually DOES mean a change of mind. His version of repentance is a "change of mind" that does not involve turning from sin to be saved.
No, don't jump to a parable. You prove to me that the word "believe" is not an ongoing action in Ephesians 1:19. It is present tense participle. So prove that I'm wrong or admit your error.
OK, I've give a list of the verses that base salvation on faith. Please show me your list.all the verses that say if you obey you will be saved and if you do not obey you will be damned.
If there are any conditions, then there is no security."One because it is displeasing to God and ruins our testimony and makes us less like Christ; the other because doing an act of sin may cause you to lose your salvation."
No, I believe both. And I believe in conditional eternal security.
Many on judgment day will tell Christ "Lord, Lord" but he will say to go away from him and that he never knew them. Indeed he never did because they came to God through the Lie, through the prophets of the Lie, which abound and "convert" people everyday, and so they never truly came to him, because they did not do it through the Truth, and therefore their whole faith was in vain, they were always part of the Mother of Harlots Church or its Daughters.
It can only take as little as one of the type of known willful rebellious sins Paul mentions in his lists about the types of sins that will disqualify one from the Kingdom to forfeit your birthright like Esau did. This means now you have repeat the process of repentance all over again to receive the Holy Spirit. Either way one is in danger of hellfire for one of these sins and if they do not repent swiftly and God grant them mercy then they will lose the Holy Spirit, or not get it back if it is already gone. A person will know if God has granted their repentance because the Holy Spirit will be with them and comfort them and wash their guilt away, not be gone or grieved and ready to leave.
Also people ought to know that just because they do not feel guilty or condemned that this doesn't necessarily mean they are saved. Because one can sear their own conscience with going deep enough into the Lie, the Mystery of Lawlessness, the Great Falling Away. This has happened to MANY.
But notice Christ did not say all who come to him on judgment day, but many. Some people Christ did know, but later they left him. Like how Paul was worried would happen to the Galatians (Gal. 4:9; see my paper: Ridiculous Comment from a Proponent of the Lie about Philippians 1.6 DEBUNKED). Like those who came to the full knowledge of the truth but willfully sinned after coming to the knowledge of the truth and being sanctified by the blood and thus came under God's judgment, "the Lord will judge HIS people." (Heb. 10)
