"...This is not about politics. This is not about Republicans or Democrats. This is about basic humanity and human dignity. We cannot with one breath argue that an unborn life is “simply tissue,” and with the next breath transfer that tissue as human organs for research."
I realize there's no point in trying to argue that PP isn't profiting from the "sale" of human tissue. And, I know there's no point in trying to highlight the absurdity of the OUTRAGE and indignation over PP when most of what they do is provide healthcare for women that couldn't otherwise afford it (and provide birth control - which lowers the number of women who want abortions). So, I'm not even going to try.
I'm more curious why Christians like to call themselves, "pro life", when it comes to abortion, but they don't seem to care at all about babies once they're born.
I mean, if you were to group all the "pro life" people together; and then, group all the people fighting to increase welfare for poor children (ie, free and reduced lunch, health insurance for children, etc...), I'd be willing to bet there's no overlap between those two groups.
Why is that? Why are you so concerned with what Planned Parenthood is doing, but don't seem as exercised about helping kids once they are actually born?
