I understand. Your preference is no additional law. In that case, the 20 week standard is eliminated and =the clinics can continue to have abortion on those both under and over 20 weeks. Is that your position?
So there should be all or nothing? We should push for legislation making illegal all abortions, including the morning after pill, and the contraceptive pill. If we can't get that, we should accept nothing.
IMHO, this kind of attitude is for the self-righteous. IMHO, we should prevent as many abortions as we can.

I think we need to do everything we can to get rid of abortion.
support a social safety net
personally give to charities that help women in need and battered women shelters
vote for politicians who have policies that support big business (sometimes it is rough balancing strong economy and social safety net)
and we have to get laws that make abortion illegal
fetal pain restrictions
no morning after pill for minors without parental consent
we can defund Planned Parenthood
we can pass laws at the state (or national level) that make it so the abortion clinic needs to have admitting privileges at a local hospital
raise standards to the point that the abortion clinic has to shut down
change zoning laws to make them move, which will be a costly thing for any business but extra hard on a medical facility
tax them into oblivion
the goal is all abortion to be illegal
but we will probably not get there in one fell swoop
so we have to take small measures
but a lot of small measures add up
