Hello Friends; My name is Allan and I am new here. Please forgive me if I am posting in the wrong place. I wanted to introduce myself and share one of my fav. Holy Bible messages.
God bless us all in our effort to know Him.

Mat 28:18
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

28:18 Then the Lord explained that all authority had been given to Him in heaven and on earth. In one sense, of course, He always had all authority. But here He was speaking of authority as Head of the new creation. Since His death and resurrection, He had authority to give eternal life to all whom God had given to Him (Joh_17:2). He had always had power as the firstborn of all creation. But now that He had completed the work of redemption, He had authority as the first-born from the dead—"that in all things He may have the preeminence" (Col_1:15, Col_1:18).
28:19, 20 As Head of the new creation, He then issued the Great Commission, containing "standing orders" for all believers during the present phase of the kingdom—the time between the rejection of the King and His Second Advent.
The Commission contains three commands, not suggestions:
1. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations." This does not presuppose world conversion. By preaching the gospel, the disciples were to see others become learners or followers of the Savior—from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue.
2. Baptize "them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." The responsibility rests on Christ's messengers to teach baptism and to press it as a command to be obeyed. In believer's baptism, Christians publicly identify themselves with the Triune Godhead. They acknowledge that God is their Father, that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior, and that the Holy Spirit is the One who indwells, empowers, and teaches them. Name in verse 19 is singular. One name or essence, yet three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. Teach "them to observe all things that I have commanded you." The Commission goes beyond evangelism; it is not enough to simply make converts and let them fend for themselves. They must be taught to obey the commandments of Christ as found in the NT. The essence of discipleship is becoming like the Master, and this is brought about by systematic teaching of, and submission to, the Word.
Then the Savior added a promise of His presence with His disciples until the consummation of the age. They would not go forth alone or unaided. In all their service and travel, they would know the companionship of the Son of God.
Notice the four "alls" connected with the Great Commission: all authority; all nations; all things; always.
Thus the Gospel closes with commission and comfort from our glorious Lord. Nearly twenty centuries later His words have the same cogency, the same relevance, the same application. The task is still uncompleted.
What are we doing to carry out His last command?

What are we doing to carry out His last command?

I am taking the commands of Christ "decently and in order," and, in the absence of any apostle prepared to teach me, asking the Holy Spirit to make me into a disciple, baptize me appropriately, teach me to keep all His commandments, as presented in the NT, and finally to teach me to know His voice, so I can profit from His continuing presence. I find there are about 200 commandments to learn to keep, and that each takes time to learn. I am presently on number 81. I have found that later commandments can not be learned to be kept, until the first ones are thoroughly studied. Nor can any commandment be learned without the spiritual gift of prophecy. I need, first of all, to hear His voice, get the faith that comes from hearing, and then apply that faith to the commandment. And also, even more foundationally, to get faith for His authority over all other authority, as manifested in the world.

Best question ever. Beware the leaven of the pharisees, the Sadducees, and Herod. Yeshua is the Word, the scriptures are only the scriptures. Every "church" which goes beyond what is written, or which fails to keep teaching the imperative voice statements of Yeshua as it's primary focus, is a synagogue of Satan, a bundle of tares. No truth there. Beware, as He commanded.

I believe most of us here are counting on God's promise in scripture, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled." With stumbling blocks, false gospels, the "many (who) will come saying I am the Christ, deceiving many," the devil prowling about as a roaring lion, seeking who he might devour, and all the other bewares Yeshua warned us about, we take to heart the Lord's warning about the seed being sown, and sprouting, but being in the end unfruitful. So, in the fear of God, we press into deeper fellowship, looking for protection.

Begin by meditating on Malachi 3:18, discerning who to trust, and who to watch out for. We must find the former, and attend to them, to be safe from the others, if scripture is reliable.

Then, in my experience, go to most trustworthy you can find, personally, and ask them about God's rules for discerning what is true, and what is not. Receive from/with them the love of the truth. Biblically, this action appears to be God's basic requirement, before He turns from deluding you (!) to protecting and informing you. Love is keeping His commandments. Loving truth is keeping (start with knowing about) the rules that specifically apply to truth. Deeper fellowship is all about speaking the truth in love.

God forbid that you should perish for a lack of knowledge!

[BIBLE]
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
1Jn 2:2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
1Jn 2:3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
1Jn 2:4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jn 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.
1Jn 2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
1Jn 2:7 Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.
1Jn 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.
1Jn 2:9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now.
1Jn 2:10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
1Jn 2:11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
1Jn 2:12 I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.
1Jn 2:13 I write to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, Because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, Because you have known the Father.
1Jn 2:14 I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one.
1Jn 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
1Jn 2:17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
1Jn 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
1Jn 2:21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
1Jn 2:24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
1Jn 2:25 And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.
1Jn 2:26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
1Jn 2:28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
1Jn 2:29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

I really like pauls instructions to timothy.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
2Ti 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
2Ti 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
2Ti 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2Ti 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2Ti 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

We can all learn from those words. I pray for God to turn me into such a man as paul describes to timothy. Gentle, patient. I have a ways to go but its good to have a goal to pray and talk to God about.

Ha! This was an another page, and I missed it! But, clearly He is leading us!

I say Amen to your prayer. I pray for salty salt, to be preserved in their saltiness, for those drawn to Yeshua and with a sprouting seed, to be brought to fruitfulness and covenant.

How has the Lord led you to pray, in these perilous times? I pray that He will lead us to something on His heart, that we can agree with one another about, and can so magnify His work and name.

Yes that seems edifying and profitable, i totally agree. I pray that he turn me into a pleasing servant and that i know him as he wants me to. I love the Lord, i want to love him in deed and not just word, i want to worship in spirit and truth.
