CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Normally, I would not have done that; and I even hesitated to do so, since I choose to believe the Lady Hope story.
However, as I see it so far, 100% of the atheists, and even most Christians who even dare to comment on the Lady Hope story, have Mr. Darwin ending up in Hell (assuming they are correct, and he didn't repent).
And although I cannot understand why someone would want Mr. Darwin in Hell, I respect their answers.
In short, it's you guys* who put Darwin into the same place Hitler went -- not I.
* (Yes, I know ... there's that corporate mentality showing again.)

I disagree. If you didn't believe in Heaven or Hell, would you be out raping and killing? Would you undergo a massive national project to exterminate the Jews (or another ethnic or religious group of your choice)?
I'm guessing not. I'm guessing you, like most people, decide against rape and murder because you simply don't want not, and not because of the threat of Hell.
No more so than one where one's mortal religious beliefs determine whether you get eternal paradise or eternal suffering. You'd think it'd be based on whether people deserve it...

I would be inclined to believe you are being sincere with your line of questioning, but for one thing: the Catholics have their doctrine of Purgatory, which doesn't seem to faze you.
Thus I think you're just here to ridicule those of us who believe in Heaven-or-Hell period, else the Catholics would put you in your place.

I'm at a loss how you came to that conclusion. Are you saying I'm in cahoots with Catholics and that's why they're not putting me in my place?
My main point is simply that the afterlife system you believe in, can be improved in many obvious places.
On the contrary, it serves a point: most people don't rape and murder and this is not because of the threat of Hell. So, if the afterlife were instead how I described it, there would be little change to people's behaviour, contrary to your claim.
