CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh, any woman that married me would get an adventure and I would have enough adventure of dodging things she throws cause I will undoubtedly say many things that upset her.

It is what it is. I understand the want to not get involved, I kind of don't want to be in it sometimes myself; I'm not trying to imply I am unhappy with men in that(I haven't been feeling well and was rather unfiltered last night so I don't know if I came across well)...
What does bother me is the fact that many men act very indignant that I would think to start a relationship telling them right off that they will have to take a back seat to other things in my life once in a while.
It really amazes me that someone can get to be 30+ and still think they are the center of the universe.. And be insulted that I do not see it.
Hence the not even trying anymore. I tell anyone who asks me out to be careful of my crazy and that the last guy I dated ran off and was never heard from again.

1. Someone I find unattractive. Physical attraction is not unlike a commodity. If the outside package isn't appealing, the inner depth won't matter and if the outside package is appealing but the inner depth shallow, you can always take it back. So the easiest solution, get the easiest to take care of done first which is...physical attraction.(My example may drive sensitivities here mad...oh well. It wasn't my intention and I hope no one was offended and can see the point behind the metaphor.)
2. Racist, sexist(meaning the women that think their place is to serve every need of mine because of duty...spare me) and people who discriminate against people by where they live.
3. Someone who is the "Must have kids". I am not all too certain if I will have a child or not. Sure parts of me wants one...it is in my biology but since I am not an oppressive type, that oppressive person can stay away from me.
4. Tom-boy(this does not mean plain Jane to me). This is actually a learned deal breaker for me. I never knew this about me until recently but I have never dated a tom-boy. I have always dated those girls that are overtly feminine, emotional in a man considering it cliched female way, girly etc. So based on past history...yea, I guess it is a deal breaker. I love what I am not and I love what I do not understand(not that I know what being a Tom-boy is like).
5. Difference with views on religion, morals and ethics, politics and social views that can't be intermixed. How this one actually plays out I don't know. My current g/f and I have differences in these areas but it is a nice difference and we have similarities so there is no problem currently with it. It is the best example I can go with because I was always pretty used to having someone on a similar level with religion at least until the past about 6 or so years.
6. Someone that cannot at least respect something I like that she doesn't. I am good at respecting things I do not like so no worries coming from me. I have been very fortunate with this one and still am...I have never had a woman that this was a concern. I have good tastes.
7. Someone on the wagon or a drunk. I am a regular drinker but I regulate my intake. Someone with a lifestyle of quitting something because they let it get out of control vs a life of regulation is world's apart and not workable for me and I simply don't want a drunkard either because that is a lifestyle that is world's difference from a regulated drinker.
8. Does illegal drugs and addicted to legal drugs beyond caffeine and sugar.
I'll end it there. Those are the big 8.
