in reading Proverbs 5, this stood out for me:

He binds himself in his own self-built "prison" and he dies that way.

"His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray." ~Proverbs 5:22-23

Tragic.

Proverbs 5:

Proverbs, chapter 5 mostly talks about staying away from the “strange woman,” but then it goes a little bit deeper, giving us a little glimpse into the nature of sin and the end thereof, which is the tragedy of not giving heed to God's own direction and wisdom, that steers us from death and destruction.

For your ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all your paths. Proverbs 5:21.
This is both comforting and scary to me. God knows everything I'm doing and sees every sin I commit. However, he also sees all the good I work to do.

Amen sister, yes it's a bit of a wake up call for me to think about Him seeing "all" that i do, and "think"....and yet also comforting to know that ultimately He is watching over me and that He covers me with His inexplicable grace, like a blanket.

No WONDER David asked God to "examine" his heart.

These verses come to mind:

"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." ~Psalm 139:23-24
