Proverbs 3:
Child-like Trust.
These verses have always reminded me of the trust of a little child towards a loving father. There is no doubt, but just a folding of ourselves into our heavenly Father's arms and will, and KNOWING that He HAS us, and there is no worry or fear to be had, because He will surely guide us, protect and defend us, and that where He leads, it will be all right. And that is because He DOES go before us, and He has safely trod first and cleared the way for us.
He is a GOOD Shepherd, Father, God, Creator.
Corrie Ten Boom KNEW this. She trusted Him unwaveringly, like a small child trusts their loving father. As a matter of fact, Corrie had a very very wise earthly father:
"Father sat down on the edge of the narrow bed. "Corrie," he began gently, "when you and I got to Amsterdam-when do I give you your ticket?" I sniffed a few times, considering this. "Why, just before we get on the train." "Exactly. And our wise Father in heaven knows when we're going to need things, too. Don't run out of Him, Corrie. When the time comes that some of us will have to die, you will look into your heart and find the strength you need-just in time." ~Corrie Ten Boom
God HAS it. He WILL provide ALL that we need, "just in time". There is nothing to fear. All we need do, is "follow" Him, trusting Him as a small child, along the way.
How precious is THAT??!!

We are admonished to trust FULLY in God. Not just in part. God seeks a "child-like" trust. The kind a small child has for their loving father, full-hearted, not holding back, but whole-hearted-ly trusting Him, and acknowledging WHO He is and ALL that He does for us, and with joy and rejoicing.
When we do, He will surely guide us safely and wisely along our life's path.
He is a GOOD Father, a GOOD Shepherd.

...as i think on it, "discipline" requires "humility", for it requires one to "submit" and "bow down" to the One giving the discipline.
May God grant me a heart to submit to His discipline.
