Im not sure that its commanded to work 6 days, but rather its permissible. Thats my opinion anyway.

Acts 4:32 All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.

I believe if a person followed the example found in acts 4, that they could work 7 days a week if they wanted. Its lawful to do good any day of the week.
