Hey david, recently I had a chromosome check to have a look for an inheritable genetic disorder. It was found that I am a normal male in terms of Chromosome count (46XY)

so what were they looking at then?

they are also going to sequence a bit of my genome to look for something else... so what are the results that they will return then?

Without a doubt, there are sex-linked genetic disorders, statistics don't lie. There are rather shady pictures and evidence of chromosomes, but the structures they are made of (DNA and histones in three different levels of folding/arrangement) remains unseen. It's just a guess.

oh but we have "vital forces" now, so we are getting close I feel. I am just wondering how one sequences these vital forces, and how these vital forces are inherited in a particulate manner with mendelian ratios.

A bit like electrophoresis, in which proteins are segmented, denatured and bathed in negatively-charged solution to give it a more negative charge. Not all cells have similar vital forces, so when they perform these tests and see differences, they love to pin it on DNA, which is simply a lie. You will find that similar cells and relatives have similar vital forces, so when you begin to expose them to these various processes, it is no wonder the vital force acts on them and yields results that differ based on the make-up of the samples. The vital forces of similar samples will causes the processes to yield more similar results then the vital forces of dissimilar samples. It has nothing to do with "DNA". It is all basic logic.

Similar vital forces will yield different phenotypes in a variety of areas. It may be that the genetic disease of the vital force also expresses a change is some 'chromosome' along with whatever products that causes the disease.

Even a geneticist will tell you that an inherited condition ("gene") can express itself in more than one way or product.

Like you said, this is about appearence and what could be happening with this disease is that it also causes an alteration in this supposed chromosome. What the function and complete structed of the chromosomes and its components down to the cellular level is, I don't pretend to know. Neither should cellular biologists.

why didn't you just say "I don't know" when asked.

so anyway, on with this disease thing. now they haven't found a chromosome disorder, they are going to look at a specific gene, which they will sequence. when they find (and they will, I'm pretty certain) that a specific gene found on chromosome 8 is a mutant version of the gene found on anyone else, and the particular sequence will unsuprisingly correspond to an unusual shape of a particular protein.

so why is there this correspondence then?
