Just off the top of my head:

Prostitution:

- Encourages adultery
- Sets a bad example for kids to follow
- Encourages an industry riddled with crime (the sex industry)
- Encourages the drug industry also riddled with a lot of pain & suffering & crime
- Spreads STD's
- Destroys marriages resulting in more kids without a proper family environment
- Encourages a lowered moral standard & sexual deviancy

Probably more I can't even think of...

As for supporting my claims if you want a statistic from a source then I don't have it, I gave you my source above which I edited out due to its nature.

I wasn't a Christian all my life, I have plenty of life experience to back my claims up.

Yes, I’m seriously asking you that. How has legalized prostitution harmed the state of Nevada? We Nevadans who have experienced the largest population growth in the country for 20 years, who have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, who, outside of Las Vegas, live generally crime-free, a state where businesses are flocking to; yes, please tell me, how has prostitution harmed the society in which I live?

Pop down to your local mental health clinic & see how many young girls are bulimic, anorexic etc.

I can't tell u where to go to see how common date rapes gang rapes child rapes etc are.

Our society is run by greed & so is our government. What is the purpose of the IR reforms?

We gave Indonesia a billion dollars, how much did we blow our own trumpet, to the point of almost demanding the release of a convicted drug smuggler "because we're such generous people".

Demonstrate that it does this. I know of nobody who is encouraged to adultery because prostitution exists.

What, people are telling their kids they go to prostitutes? Please, that's just nonsense.

It's filled with crime precisely because of attitudes like yours, that it's bad. Get rid of the illegality and the image of badness, and crime goes.

See above. In and of itself, prostitution has nothing to do with drugs. Realistically, it does because of prostitution's long-time illegality and image.

Sex spreads STDs. Prostitutes are no more likely to have an STD than anyone else (and if you dispute this, some figures are required).

Once again, support this. Show some figures from an authoritative source about marriages destroyed because of prostitution.

This is why swapping life stories is useless - your experiences will be different to mine.

To get the true picture, we need statistics and comparisons with other times and other societies.

As a person who beleives in Jesus I recognise the evil in all this and so I will go out of my way not to engage in such sexual immorality, I will flee from it.

I go to Sydney a lot. Me and some friends went looking for streetwalkers a few times, just to see them. (We do not have them in Canberra). We found 1 ... I guess we just aren't any good at seeing all that sexual immorality.

I have. It was full of racism. They had massive violence - they called them 'World Wars' or something equally bizarre. Women did not have the vote. Neither did the blacks. And Jews were barred from teaching. Domestic violence was not a crime. And so on.
