I would say that if it were at a rate was close to or exceeding the number of black people killed by anyone else I would definitely be concerned and willing to consider serious problems in the entire policing system.

How many black people can be wrongly killed by police before you begin to see it as an issue of national concern?
I asked you that and look at the answer i got.

There are probably some decent nuggets within CRT that could be extracted and incorporated into something more decent than CRT. Sadly I would wager CRT is mostly garbage. Mainly apologetics for failure and simply wanting to blame white people for them. Even if there are some historical kernels of truth.
What's stopping you from reading the foundational works of CRT and finding out?

In fact we fought an entire war to end slavery.
Yes, against other white people who resisted that end. And now many still want to reverence those same white people as hero's.

Joe Biden is no hero. He and Senator Byrd, a KKK leader, stood to stop black kids from attending schools with whites. Now Joe is back at it again, spreading hatred and division. Give all of our children a chance, let the parents have the choice to send their children to a school of their choice. Stop the attack against parents who are bullied only because they don't want their children to be taught racism.

No you presented Fox news quoting a twitter post from Christopher Rufo a well known anti-CRT propagandist

why would i acknowledge a claim from a propagandist as true?

Or as you put it "Who cares?"

The article included screenshots from the Education Department of Virginia's website.

If you don't want facts that's on you.

What's stopping you from reading the foundational works of CRT and finding out?

Laziness, coupled with the fact that I am not very knowledgeable about how to research things.

Do you happen to know of any podcasts/Youtube videos that explain CRT well and fairly? I could listen to a few of them while at work. The only things I have really watched was a breakdown of CRT from a video Ana The Ist posted on CF once. It would be ideal to recieve perspectives from both those who are against teaching CRT and those who are for it.

I do want to ask though.. assuming you know a decent amount about CRT. Does this platform allow viewpoints regarding racial disparities to be a result of something that is not due to racism and discrimination? At least not fully?

Because if it does not I do not see why one should take CRT seriously. That isn't to say CRT does not provide some value but I certainly wouldn't want it to dominate how I view racial issues. I want to be able to look at things objectively and have no bounds in trying to figure out why racial issues are the way they are. I don't want something that starts with the conclusion and demands we find evidence for it.

You can at least sympathize with why some are wary about CRT? If CRT does allow other viewpoints and is actually critical, proponents of CRT need to hammer this home. Because a lot of people share these concerns.

Not everyone who is wary or flat out against CRT are doing so because they suffer from "white fragility". Personally I love tackling and taking about extremely controversial and heavy conversations. I want to know how things are, not what makes me feel better about myself.

As someone who isn't American I find this interesting:
"Also this — white children and adults should absolutely feel bad about the past atrocities committed by white Americans. They should feel guilty. They should cringe at what their ancestors did."

My first thought was, what about all the people who came as later immigrants?

Also not American, also find this interesting.

And to be honest, even if someone WAS descended from a slave owner - I don't understand why they should feel bad or cringe about what their ancestor had done. Should they feel that slavery was awful - I would certainly hope so. But beyond that, the only connection is a line on a family tree. I mean, I could be a distant relative of Genghis Khan or Attila the Hun - I can't do anything about it.

A person today can't help what their ancestors did. They can't influence them. What they can and should do is ensure that they themselves do not take part in discrimination and help make society a more equal place for people today.

So is CRT responsible for the type of thinking that has been brought up in this video below in which he's talking about Colin Kaepernick now some sort of (CRT?) activist saying that the NFL is like slavery? Isn't Kaepernick the guy who knelt at the National Anthem and started all that whole stuff up? Apparently he has a Netflix documentary now in which he goes into detail about how oppressive the NFL is (and yet is supposedly trying hard to get back in.) How has Kaepernick not benefitting from all of these horrible systems that "white people" set up to apparently oppress him?

Anyway, the guy who made the following video has a lot of good points about the subject.

you mean a disparity like the number of circle cell anemia cases in African Americans?

Because if it does not I do not see why one should take CRT seriously. That isn't to say CRT does not provide some value but I certainly wouldn't want it to dominate how I view racial issues.
why not? You've already admitted you know practically nothing about so why would you reject it without knowing it?

I want to be able to look at things objectively and have no bounds in trying to figure out why racial issues are the way they are. I don't want something that starts with the conclusion and demands we find evidence for it.
if you know next to nothing about it how can you say that CRT starts with the conclusion much less that it demands we find evidence for it?

You can at least sympathize with why some are wary about CRT?
i never sympathize with ignorance

and yet you are lazy when it comes to CRT
