I'll admit that most of them were hoaxes.
Most of them.
But what about some that have electromagnetic anomalies accompanying them?
In your opinion, does every single crop circle have a perp that owned up to it?
Not a specific one, but qv:Can you give an example of such a circle?
So if he said 1 + 1 = 2, you wouldn't believe him?Yeah, that's a joke. The website is "...dedicated to the study of optimizing and improving human performance, creativity, intuitive accuracy, and capacity for extraterrestrial contact." And the author has a degree in sociology, so nothing that qualifies him to make any reliable statements about any meteorological or extra-terrestrial cause for crop circles. He's also really into a lot of new age mumbo jumbo such as crystals having energy power and remote viewing (which he apparently thinks is related to time travel).
Meh - that question-begging heap of pseudoscience is based on supposedly replicating the now discredited work of Burke, Levengood, and Talbot - see The Questionable Science of Crop Circles.
So if he said 1 + 1 = 2, you wouldn't believe him?
Kylie, the website says this:You have a very black and white view of reality, and it's gonna get you into trouble.
Regardless of what you think of the site in general, do you believe this part?To investigate the possible existence of non-ordinary electrical fields in and near crop patterns, twelve formations in the Wiltshire area of England were sampled during the summer of 1999 to measure their ambient electrostatic fields. Measurements were taken with a TREK-520 electrostatic field meter. Results were consistent with previous studies. Several of the sampled formations displayed highly anomalous and irregular energy fields, some sufficient to render the field meter inoperable.

Alright -- have a good day.How were the measurements taken? Did they measure the fields on the ground, or just in the air? Have they tested sites without crop circles to see if similar readings result? How have the determined that their results are due to the crop circles and nothing else? There's not enough information here to make any conclusions, we are relying on what these people have to say, and they are certainly not unbiased.
The previous studies were debunked.Kylie, the website says this:
"...Results were consistent with previous studies..."
Regardless of what you think of the site in general, do you believe this part?
Citation please? The previous studies were debunked.
Yup -- the lookalikes, the fakes, the charlatans were exposed as frauds by science, to which I'm thankful. There was a fad for trance mediums producing ectoplasmic ghosts out their noses, but that stopped after people were exposed as frauds, too.
The real deals show up,
Cute.Who is that? Are there real mediums producing real ectoplasm out their noses?
Cute.
