Non curo. Si metrum non habet, non est poema.
Hi! Hey, I came across the baby bootie pattern I used! Let me know if you still want it.
Prayers for you dad. I know how scary that can be. My sweet mother had a mild heart attack recently so I understand how much it concerns us when we're faced with the thought of losing a parent.![]()
Thank you BarbaraJean, I would love the pattern if you have the time. I am spending alot of time in ICU with Dad, and I would love to make some booties while I am waiting. Only two people can go in at a time, so Mum, my sister and my BIL take turns in going in. I taught my beautiful sister how to crochet last year, and I want to teach her some new things.
We nearly lost Dad, they tried to intubate him for 2 hours on Thursday, the nurse told me that one Dr looked like he was going to faint and the other Dr sweated a litre of fluid. Then Dad slipped into a coma and did not come out for about 70 hours - not that long, but felt like a life time to me. He started to wake up when my sister whistled, and the next day when I came into see him, he mouthed "I love you" it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
Some more good news, I had my surgery on Friday, and the surgeon told me again that he thought that the tumor was cancer. Today I found out that it was not - it was completely clear! God is so good! When the Dr thought it was cancer, I looked up the support group recommended by the Dr's nurse. The first thing it told you to do in preparing for surgery was to make sure your will is up to date - cheerful aye. The type of tumor they thought it was does not respond to chemo or radiation therapy. Because my family were going through so much, I did not tell them what my Dr thought. They knew I was having surgery, but they thought that it was benign. My best friend was so wonderful and supporting, she kept on cheering me up and making jokes. She said that I could leave her my crochet books and my wool, lol. I told her that she would have to split it with my sister. I have been teaching her to crochet as well. She is a very good knitter, and has some wonderful patterns (all in Russian, I am sure I have told you about her before).
Well that was way of topic, but I am so happy with our answered prayers that I cannot help but share my joy with everyone!
How is your mother doing now? I hope she is fine, I will add her to my prayer list anyway.
